Stopped in here last night for a meal while staying at the Wigwam Motel down the street (we are on Route 66)., having seen the good reviews on TripAdvisor.
THe pizza (12" Supreme to share between us) was very good, thick crust but very fresh ingredients on top (green pepper, white onion, sausage, ham, olives, etc). We had a half carafe of Chianti which was also fine and shared a slice of Ice Cream Cake which was unusual for our taste, but really quite good (quite Xmas like, with marzipan included?).
However, the restaurant itself needs a total make-over, it's a little scruffy, as are many of the clientelle!
Perhaps a take-away is in order to eat back at the Wigwam?

popped in for take-out coffee on way to Carlsbad. Very friendly service, happy to oblige an aussie with very reasonable coffee (which we have found hard to find in USA!) good job, Coffee Nutzz.

Corkys is a cozy family friendly restaurants that serves awesome food. I had their grilled chicken dinner and finished it up with an awesome slice of Banana Cream Pie. I would go back just for the Pie! But in reality all their desserts are great. Their muffins are served warm and are delicious.

The staff at this location are very helpful. I had spilled a drink and they have me a new one. I was able to wipe up the table myself and a young lady helped to mop up the floor. I am thankful for their great customer service.

At In-N-Out Burger, quality is everything. Stop by to enjoy our menu of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, french fries and shakes. In-N-Out makes fast food the old fashioned way.

Everyone knows In-N-Out (or at least they should!). There are some (actually, very very few) better "burger places", but for a quick drive-thru burger it's near the top of the "food chain". Try "animal style" to get extra sauce and stuff ... messy but good! For those of you "Atkins folks" go "protein style".

Stayed down the street so bunch of us took a walk down here.
This old diner is well looked after.
Friendly staff.
Good food and not too pricey!!
Nice music playing in the diner.
If doing route66 and staying in the Wigwam, this is a must stop.

Been to this place several times. Tonight happened to be very busy. The manager was our waiter and he was slammed with customers. Pretty sure they were understaffed. This has happened several times in the past too. Ordered a Chicken Salad and was served a Shredded Chicken Taco Salad instead. In fact, our entire party was served the wrong meals. As for mine, I didn't bother to say anything only because the taco salad looked pretty good. Ordered an Iced Tea and of course a glass of Chardonnay. The food's good, but service has really gone downhill from a year ago. They did their best and smiled the entire time but definitely need more staff in addition to more training.

The Michilada Vip is to die for and the Shrimp empanadas OMG MOUTH WATERING NOW & the tostada Fontana enough for 2ppl and the prices are perfect. But on the downside I went expecting music until closing time on a Saturday night but it ended at 9pm even thou the place closes at 11

We traveled more than 30 miles to try this place. At about 1:30PM on Sunday, it was full, with about 8 people waiting. We were seated within 10 minutes. The service is kind and efficient. Hubby ordered ox tails, said they were tender, deeply flavorful, and satisfying. I had smothered chicken, dark meat. Amazed at the huge servings! With cornbread muffins, iced tea, dressing, collards greens, and buttered corn, we were stuffed and had some to take home! The smothered chicken was deep fried then slathered with brown gravy, very delish! The stuffing was brownish and somewhat bland. The takeout line was long, throughout our visit. Overall, we thought the value for the meal was really great. We will return.

The food was great. Service was slow. We ordered a fish taco and 2 burrito plates. The burrito plates came quickly. We waited at least 10 more minutes and had to remind them about the fish taco.
