Rapid City has long been considered one of the gateways to the West, and its rich cowboy and Native American heritage is the result. Visitors won't want to miss the area's mammoth outdoor sculptures. There's Mount Rushmore, of course, but work also continues on the nearby Crazy Horse Memorial, which will be the largest sculpture in the world when it is finally completed years down the line. Among the many local attractions are the scenic Black Hills, several nearby cavern systems that offer guided tours and the South Dakota Air and Space Museum.

I'm always so glad when the weather warms up here, mainly because the food trucks will be out again! We have a great variety of amazing restaurants and food trucks in town, and none is as consistently outstanding as NOSH. The menu is small, which is good because everything is delicious. The fish tacos, Thai chicken tacos and Kalbi or Carnitas tots are always favorites, but then they throw in some specials that I want to try and it makes the decision that much more difficult! I stopped for lunch yesterday for the first time this year and I thought it was even better than what I remembered from last fall. So, if you are looking for great food, give them a try - you won't be sorry.

We went in time for the lunch buffet. There was a great selection, and everything was delicious. The staff was all friendly. I will definitely be back!

You get one size, thin crust, but any and all the toppings that you want for the same price. Even a choice of crusts, sauces and cheeses. Fire-baked and ready within 8 minutes or so. And in my opinion the best tasting pizza in town.

The cornerstone of the establishment is a massive coal-fired oven (nearly 10 feet wide) that glows with a combination of dancing gas flames and red-hot coal that will be highly visible both inside and outside of the restaurant. This provides an incredible backdrop for our exhibition-style kitchen, which in essence, will provide dinner and a show. The nearly 1,200 degree oven allows us to prepare unique menu items targeted at today's more savvy diner that's not only looking for great flavors, but also the high nutritional value required to fuel today's busy professional.
My wife and I went here on a date night, our first time eating at Kols. I loved the decor and atmosphere, had an elegant feel to it. Our waiter was outstanding and very knowledgeable about what food and drinks were available. He even brought me a sample to try before deciding to order. I tried the Creole Gumbo, and despite it being a bit spicier than I typically eat, it was outstanding. We plan on bringing the family for pizza next, it looked amazing. Definitely a restaurant to visit in Rapid City, whether you’re a local or tourist.

The first real tap room in Rapid City, an oasis for beer afficianados.
We were looking for a laid back restaurant that served a good selection of beer and hopefully a good pizza and Independent Ale House did not disappoint.
The place was mobbed and we almost sat outside, but there was a couple who saw us and told us they were about to leave and that we could have their table. What luck!! So we were able to get a nice table and were greeted by a very friendly server just a few minutes after we were seated. We were unfamiliar with the local beers and were given small samples of the ones we thought we might enjoy. We each ordered a different beer and were very happy with our choices.
Now for the meal. We each split a caesar salad and shared a pepperoni pizza. Both were wonderful. The only regret I have is that I didn't get a whole salad for myself because it was that good.
It was a delightful evening. Great service, food and beer. Doesn't get much better.

Established in 2007 and the concept of Pete Franklin, Delmonico Grill brings a jazzy metropolitan feel to our small city. Escape from your busy day with great food, fun atmosphere and good service!
We went for lunch. Beautiful relaxing atmosphere. My friend had salmon salad that looked great & she said was fantastic. I ordered the wilted bacon spinach salad. I always love it, but they must have decided on their own twist. Failed. Dressing had No taste and the egg was soft boiled. That really wasn't bad, was quite good really, but it just wasn't the traditional spinach salad. I would never order this from there again. Disappointed. This restaurant is beautiful and the staff was beyond reporch. I'll definitely be back, ordering something else.

Outstanding food, service, and prices. We've eaten there twice in the past week. Both times were exceptional. We can think of few places that make you feel like home like this place does. We can't sat enough good things about the staff and management. It may be a chain but this particular one is worth visiting!

Fine dining born out of a local favorite classic diner in historic downtown Rapid City. Tally's Silver Spoon is the project restaurant of Benjamin Klinkel, chef and owner. Dubbed a "fine diner", Benjamin aims to bring together the worlds of comfort food and fine dining, sophistication and comfort. An atmosphere where cherry pie and foie gras co-exist. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Sunday.
Tally's has a traditional breakfast menu, with top level taste. Their hash brown potatoes were among the best ever for us! Their homemade bread toast was one for the memories! The ample roomed restaurant fills quickly during peak summertime, so the earlier the better for travelers. Their coffee is also tasty, and the service excellent. Prices are normal for a touristy, seasonal, downtown venue. Parking is at downtown meters, which are visited often by the local police, so no dallying or cheating is permitted. We would return anytime!

Best Indian/Nepalese food in Rapid City.Try our rack of lamb!!! Is famous.
Indian/Nepalese cuisine are two of my absolute favorites. I travel 30-35 weeks a year and seek Indian and Nepalese restaurants out. I discovered Kathmandu Bistro in Rapid City, SD while working for the National Park Service. The restaurant is clean with simple decor (cafe-like). The service is prompt and extremely respectful. The food is DELICIOUS. I had their Chicken Tikka Marsala...Fantastic; and their Kathmandu Naan...DELICIOUS, SWEET, SAVORY. The price was inexpensive; about $13-$15 per entree. I would return again if I ever get back to Rapid City.
