Although I got a really bad experience there 1 year ago and I promised that I will never go back there again I still took my guests to Ararat for a dinner. When we walked into the garden area there were some smelly old drunks-not the best thing to see when you want to eat. Restaurant was not too busy but despite of that we barely got a hello from the staff. We chose our own table and sat there for quite a long time. No one gave us a menu. So finally we went and got the menus. After that we took our sweet time choosing our meals and then waited some more. Staff just hurried past us and ignored us completely. After a long time we stood up and left. The prices have also gone up a lot so there is nothing special about that place anymore. It used to be so cheap and tasty but now it is the same price as much better restaurants in Rakevere. Thats it. Disappointing experience once again.

The restaurant-bar Katariina Kelder, situated on the historical Pikk Street in the town of Rakvere, is perfect for holding wedding receptions and celebrating anniversaries. We can cater up to 120 people. In the winter season, you can dance to a live band every Friday and Saturday. Useful information: Katariina Guesthouse and Art Salon are also in the same building.

We were sorry we did not make the effort to explore other dinner options in town, but we were tired and chose "The Cellar," the restaurant below the guesthouse where we were staying. The menu was uninspired, food just edible, and service inept. The restaurant had no charm. Don't make the same mistake we did--go out and explore other options.

We went to the Art Cafe for a light meal. The filled pancakes were delicious and a very good size. The coffee & hot chocolate were also good quality. The staff were friendly & spoke excellent English. Highly recommended.

Welcome to one of Rakvere's oldest restaurants! We serve Estonian pub food and our Indian chef prepares spicy Asian dishes. We have a special menu, highchairs and a nice playground for children also. On Thursdays we host karaoke nights where anyone can join! We have live music parties with retro music on Fridays and Saturdays. You definately cannot miss them if you want to experience Rakvere's nightlife! Every spring we open a sunny Terrace where you can enjoy life when drinking cooling cocktails and eating our specialities. On the 2nd floor of our building we have 5 pool tables for playing billiards and a private room for parties for up to 40 guests. Virma is a place to have fun so don't hesitate to come and explore what we have to offer! :)

Wanna say some nice words about Art Cafe cafe/restaurant. It's located near to the Art Hotel - one owner's businesses.
I've ordered large Beef burger.
Which is one of the best ever tried all! Burger is rich taste, including baked egg and salads etc. Large French frites portion added.
For Hotel quests - 15% discount.
That's attractive as generally prices are rather high there (for Rakvere).
Not cheap, but definitely worth to visit.
Easy to park a car nearby, free of charge.
At least come and talk some words with a beautiful sexy waitress :)

Perfect location in an oak filled park in the heart of Rakvere. Quiet, beautiful, serene. Condition of hotel and restaurant is very good. Unfortunately, they serve frozen salmon (local fresh salmon is available) and the reheated frozen bread was served with margarine.
The Theresa salad was good, the mozarella salad was fine. The tortellini was nice except for the processed chicken slab on top. The servers were polite. All in all, eat the salad and enjoy the scenery but stay away from the main courses.

On the second floor of Inglise Pubi it is possible to organize birthdays and conferences. In warm summer day you should definitely have lunch at our beautiful outdoor Terrace.

Atmosphere was typical english pub, nothing to complain here. Beer selection was nice, plenty to choose from. Food is below average. Jalapeño balls felt like straight from freezer to the microwave. Same with the "young villem scnitchel".
For pint of beer it's ok place but nothing more.

Таверна получило свое название в память рыцаря Иво Шенкенберга. Находится внутри ракверской крепости и состоит из нескольких залов - открытых под навесами, в том числе и в башне, и внутренних. Основное разнообразное меню конечно в летний туристический сезон. А в сентябре выбор был невелик - гороховый суп, рыба в сырном соусе и порожки с мясом. Ну и конечно разливное пиво, вино и прочий алкоголь. Тем не менее можно порекомендовать как интерьерное место. Причем на открытой террасе постоянно бродят куры с петухами и довольно безцеремонно "вымогают" хлеб или крошки. Выглядит очень забавно. Открыта таверна с 10-18.
