The restaurant/ hotel has been renovated and is located in a beautiful environment. It´s worthwhile to see the old well known hotel building, surroundings and the view. Unfortunately the buffet is deffinitely overpriced for what is offered.
On the other hand, if you want to have lunch in a beautiful environment go ahead and fork out what ever the total will be.

Cafe Restaurant Harjun Portti is situated near a holiday centre park. It's a good stop for a decent lunch. Prices are, like most of the lounas, very affordable.
This is the ideal spot for tourists who want to do some outdoor activities. Within walking distances you can rent bikes or a boat, or just go hiking. Lovely place!

When you fancy to eat or have a cup of coffee with a beautiful scenery you should pop in Cafe Rantakivi that is not located too far away from Savonlinna.
There you'll find very friendly staff serving excellent dishes made of fresh local products (meat, fish, vegetable, berries etc.).
This is a must place to go and it's popular among the locals, too.

Сетевые кафе-рестораны АВС расположены по всей Финляндии, эта находится на трассе Йоенсуу-Иматра при повороте на Савонлинну. Как и везде в комплексе заправка, автоуслуги, магазин, большое кафе-ресторан, где можно как легко перекусить, так и полноценно пообедать или поужинать. Утром с 6 до 10 подаются несколько вариантов завтрака.

One fancy eating traditional food of local fresh igredients I warmly recommend Lusto restaurant in Punkaharju only 26 kms from Savonlinna. Food is tasteful and good.
Restaurant is nice and tidy with a beautiful view to forest and lake.
It's located in the same buildind with the Finnish Forest Museum.

This is located below the Kruuunupuisto campus during the summer. The waffles is their specialty, but they serve also lunch buffet and serve grill food in some evenings. An easygoing 100 yr old cafe near the waterfront.
