Depending on what day of week or month you go, you will have many different great experiences!!!
Summertime is the best sitting outside at multiple decks or over by the band deck and covered wedding deck.
We went on a beautiful Saturday night and got my favorite table right on the corner of the 2nd deck on the water. Weather was perfect.
Started out with their version of bang bang shrimp which is only available for a few weeks. It was terrific.
I ordered the barramundi which was outstanding and perfectly cooked and moist. It was on top of Gouda grits which were so good.
Brisket was also very good.
They also have great live bands and dancing.
Of course you can never go wrong just sitting on the hill looking over marina, QC Princess, large boats and amazing sunsets!!!!

A well decorated place in Norton Commons in which to have breakfast or lunch. Everything was good, and the staff was attentive. The only down side was that it got fairly noisy!

Giberto's is like going back in time. When I was a kid growing up near Boston we'd go there to shop and eat. The highlight of each trip was getting Gelato if I was good. I was always good. There's nothing like great Gelato and Gilberto tastes like it did as a kid. It's in Norton Common's which is to of the way but it worth the drive. there are many places to dine then tsp by Giberto's for Gelato.

Homemade Ice Cream & Pie Kitchen

Reviewed By DanaLfromKY - New Albany, Indiana

I’ve been eating at the Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen for 20+ years. I started at the original location in the Highlands and they had different owners. I think their cakes, pies, and ice cream are all okay. I thought they were better years ago. Sometimes the desserts are just missing something, which was the case the last time I had a piece of coconut cream pie; it was too light on the coconut and the pie filling was not firm enough to hold the pie up. I’ve had better luck with their cakes and pecan pie.

Having said that, I really like their cafe. They have a simple menu, but the food is good and the prices are very reasonable. I really enjoy the club and clam chowder. The staff is always nice here. They have a great location. It’s clean and they have good hours. I might be a tad too picky on my desserts because I grew up in a family of great bakers. Idk. I still like this place and do occasionally get a piece of cake or pie. Worth a stop, especially for soup or sandwich.

What a wonderful meal! We've been wanting to try this spot since it opened and we were delighted! The atmosphere is casual and very much like some of the little trattorias we visited in Italy. Gray was our server and she was great--knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. The food was excellent. We shared the goat cheese ball appetizer and wish we had ordered two!! We also shared the roasted Brussels sprouts which were yummy. We enjoyed the black pasta which was made with squid ink and was accompanied with shrimp, peppers and a very light tomato sauce. The short rib ravioli was clearly the star--luscious, flavorful, and decadent! The wine list is very nice. We had a lovely time and we'll be returning soon!!

The 502 Bar & Bistro

Reviewed By Carol D - Overland Park, Kansas

Most restaurants do get a very good review from me. But I am reading other tripadvisor reviews before selecting a place. The same can be said for 502, except they hit it out of the ballpark for me in food, drinks and service. The decor is modern, clean and relaxing. We were at the high tops tables that I had to admit had the most comfortable high top chairs I have ever sat in. They do have outdoor seating and on a bit cooler night that would have been my preference, but it was too hot for outdoor seating that night.
Our waiter let us know the night we were there it was 1/2 price wine bottle night and they had a pretty good selection to choose from. But we selected from their other cocktail menu, for me a sangria. I had the white, based on our server's recommendation - it was wonderful. Perfect for a very warm summer day and my coworker an Old Fashion which was equally fabulous. They are no slouches on their drink preparations. Our waiter also took the time to explain the menu, (one page back to back) they do change their menu seasonally but some items are so popular they become regulars. I appreciated that some menu items offered a small and large portion options and something for budget conscious diners. Most prices were under $20 range, with a few items Steak ($24) or Nashville Hot Chicken Roulade at $26. I ordered the Creekstone Farm Ribeye Melt $14 (an item which added as a regular to their menu due to demand). The dish comes with a side of fries, or you can change the side for $1 extra. I opted for Crispy Brussels Sprouts and asked for Chili and Honey Vinaigrette on the side. First taste of the sandwich was the bread, which I could tell was homemade with that wonderful baked bread smell. The Melt was wonderful it truly did melt in your mouth and the flavors were all there. The House Au Jus for the sandwich was too small to "dip" the sandwich in, so I very carefully poured a bit of juice on my sandwich before taking a bite. The sprouts I thought were delicious in their own right and didn't really need the vinaigrette. Although the vinaigrette was tasty in it's own right. I would occasionally dip my fork in the sauce before a bite of the sprouts. We passed on dessert although based on what I tasted I am sure they were equally as good as the food and drink we had. This was a top notice dining experience and I would come here again in a heartbeat

We went here because of all of the great reviews it had! Only two cons are that we had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated and had to pay to park. We did go on a Saturday at noon so I’m sure that’s one of their busiest times. The food and service was great! We ordered one pancake to share and they even cut in in half and gave us each our own plate.

After having two previous disappointing visits, we decided to come back and give Captains Quarter another try; I'm glad we did. Our server, Damien, was extremely friendly, pleasant and helpful with the menu choices. We ordered the pulled pork barbecue with baked beans and slaw and the sauce on the side. It was delicious and the tea was fresh. The beans were a little spicy but nothing that we couldn't handle. I'm so glad we came back and we really believe the service that Damien provided along with the upgraded menu contributed to our wonderful visit. The pleasant weather and beautiful view help too. Hats off to you Captains Quarter!

We had the chef speciality - hunan chicken and house pad tai and Phoenix soup. It was so so. The pad Tai tasted more Chinese than Thai and the soup was too diluted for a creamy soup. Service is good and the restaurant is located in a quaint area but food is less than satisfactory

Lindsay was our server on the Monday evening we visited. She was great and very attentive. We came for a fundraiser, and the Blackstone Grille was nice enough to donate a portion of their sales to an organization for whom my husband volunteers. I especially enjoyed one of the sides I selected- asiago cheese augratin potatoes. I also got the Great Lakes walleye and asparagus. Others at our table had steak and crab cakes. No one was disappointed. They have a GREAT selection of wines and sides. The special that evening was beef stroganoff, which sounded tempting but there were many dishes on the menu we wanted to try. Since we arrived early and ordered our entree before 6pm, we got s 20% discount (Lindsey informed us you need to ask for this when we inquired.)
