But that's not necessarily a bad thing... it's hard to be different and original all the time. The food is decent, not too expensive and the service was reasonably prompt and attentive. So, overall nothing to complain about. I don't want this to sound like a "bad" review - there was nothing wrong, but also just simply nothing outstanding about the place either.

We decided going to the Rescator after having strolled up and down the Promenade like many other tourists in Propriano at night. This ok seemed a good compromise between fancy and cheap and the menu was quite good value for money.
First surprise, the waitresses seem on their own even if the owner on the other side of the street has lots of time to smoke and chat around. Nobody to place us.
We ask if we can have an ashtray and the waitresses says we can use the floor as an anshtray (as a joke she says later). Then she comes back and tells us there is no more ashtrays even if nobody smokes in the outdoor restaurant!!
Two of us take the menu and oiur friend goes for 'sapghetti vonghole". Menu arrives it is basic but ok for the price . The spaghetti arrives but unfortunetaly around 40% of the vonghole are closed and will remain closed!!!
The waitress is ober friendly but a bit too much in a vulgar kind of way like she is our best friend!!
All together a just about average experience.

After all the reviews here we were curious to try it and were not disappointed. We were there in October so after the main season was over - tiredness of the personnel could be expected at this point, but it was not at all the case!!!! The waiters were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was very good. Good mixture of known dishes with new and local ingredients. Tasty and interesting. Very nice evening.

L'Ambata is an Italian restaurant situated at the harbour of Propriano. We had lunch on the covered Terrace, shielded from the heath of the sun. I ordered mussels and my boyfriend the pizza regina. Food arrived very quickly and was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. Fries were good. Staff was friendly and professional.

Did not expect a restaurant of this standard in a small beach town. This place is high class, and the very experienced staff serves great local dishes with an innovative twist and plenty of knowledge. Would not surprise me if a Michelin star hit Tempi Fa sometime in the future.

We had dinner here on our last night in Corsica. When we placed our order, the server told us that they had a local power outage, but hoped that the power would come on soon. Odd, but we went with it. The power came on as we finished our salads and got our entrees with a small delay. The power then went on and off at least 5 times. We could see the lights in Olmeto up on the hill go on and off as well. It became almost a game.
The food was very good and the service was consistent. Aside from the power issues, the meal went off perfectly. At the end of the desserts, to make up for the power issues, they offered a post dinner drink. Nice touch.
I have to hand it to them that they kept it all moving despite the power difficulties.

We went there twice this Summer (after being there twice last Summer). The food is exquisite, the ambience very pleasant without being pretentious and annoying. The service was first-rate. We came there half-an-hour before our (rather late) reservation time and a super nice waitress rearranged the tables and let us sit on the sidewalk (not necessarily where the tables are normally arranged). But it was a perfect location, made the dinner even more pleasurable, and showed their flexibility. I had le loup de mer (the first time) and lamb the second and both were A+. Corsican cheese selection not to be missed.

Excellent food, don't say it very often but the food was that good. Service was also prompt, friendly and not rushed. Very pleasant experience. Good views, good location at the end of town. Reasonable prices for a great meal.

Our waiter showed us to our table overlooking the busy marina.He was immediately friendly and welcoming.We all took the 26€ menu- Laura and I had beef carpaccio and the kids the prawns.Then Ethan and I had linguine with clams and Laura salmon while Nadia took the beef. All were very good. For dessert we all took the chestnut fondant apart from Nadia who took the rum baba. All were exceptional and to finish off some really good coffee.
The service was relaxed but very efficient.The waiter chose our wine for us and it was spot on.
Highly recommended.

Superbly cooked and imaginative food, with delicious fresh ingredients. Wonderful outdoor Terrace with views over the harbour. Service professional and friendly. Excellent wine list (the white Domaine de Vassiglia is outstanding). Not terribly cheap (about 60 Euros for three courses with wine), but well worth it. Don't miss it.
