It has been a few months since we visited Blue Point Grill ( we frequently purchase take out cooked shrimp at its adjoining Nassau Seafood) and once again had a very good experience. For entrees we had the flounder and fried shrimp; both were excellent and the portion sizes good. Our server (and her associates) was very attentive (she kept the iced tea coming for me...thanks). Some might consider it a little 'pricey' but for the overall quality of the food and service; it is worth it.

Visited here on a cold November evening, after dinner out. Not many customers were inside, and the place felt a bit worn out. The kids working behind the counter were friendly and very helpful. There were lots of ice cream choices. We tried three of them, and they were good, but not great. In particular, I've had creamier and more flavorful ice cream elsewhere. The latte that I had was very good. I should add that the ice cream and coffee was much cheaper than expected. It's not a bad place to stop off for a quick treat, without spending a fortune. There are just other places that have ice cream that, for me, is more likely to get me to go out of my way (and perhaps pay a bit more).

After giving up cappuccinos/coffee for almost 8 years, Small World Coffee got me hooked once more! Not only are their cappuccinos the best i've had anywhere, they make them with incredible consistency across all of their (super friendly) baristas. There is a nice selection of muffins and baked snacks on hand.
The Witherspoon St. location has a great college town vibe, with a wide range of people sitting at tables, chatting or working on laptops. They also have live music in the evening several times a month. This is a must try if visiting (or living in!) Princeton.

I was looking for a quick bite on the holiday and came across Olives. I tried the chicken souvlaki wrap and fruit salad. The sandwich was made in view, served hot. The fruit salad was fresh and of good quality. The only downside is inadequate seating. I had to settle for the bench outdoor and I was lucky to find it!
I do recommend this place for take out!!!

This review is long overdue. While living in Princeton, I often enjoyed dining at Eno Terra with family and friends. Although it's located on Rt. 27 in Kingston, the restaurant borders Princeton, and, in my opinion, is the finest in the area. The food is fresh, local with great attention to detail and fine ingredients. In many respects, it reminds me of the small restaurants one would encounter while travelling through Italy where simple fare is fresh and full of flavor. Recently, our party had lunch there and enjoyed the zitoni, pan seared octopus and the Flat Iron steak with crispy potatoes. Eno Terra also offers a daily "Pranzo a Presto" three course luncheon which changes daily for $22. For the amount and quality of food, the price can't be beat! The rustic touches indoors and outside add to the lovely ambiance. The servers are always helpful and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to return!

After seeing this bagel shop on Diners, Drive-in and Dives, we decided to give it a try. It is over 20 miles from our house but after looking at their menu and seeing the show, it seemed like it would be worth it. NOT! First of all, I came for the Spinach bagels listed on their website. They were not out of them, but it appears that they don't even make them anymore as there was no bin for them. Speaking of the bins, we were there around 10:30 am and they were mostly low/empty. What happened to the "we make thousands of bagels everyday and replenish them during the day" as stated on the show??? When did they plan to replenish the Asiago bagels which was empty???? We got the last two veggie and they had very little taste and just a hint of veggies! Since we drove a distance, we also bought two sourdough.
Again, very little taste.
I've always wondered if Guy Fieri is blowing smoke about some of the places he visits?
After going here, I now know it!
If this is the #1 restaurant in Plainsboro, I feel sorry for those of you who live there.

Though it has earned a reputation for the excellent buns, don't neglect the many excellent dishes on offer. We are pleased with each return visit. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The prices reasonable. And, don't fail to notice that the tables are always filled with Asian families which certainly wouldn't tolerate a lack of authenticity.

During the recent storm and power outage, we headed out shopping in the Princeton area. They didn't lose power.
We went to Romeo's in nearby Plainsboro. There were four of us. We opened a bottle of Rioja, since it's a byob restaurant. We started with the calamari, which comes with a great red sauce on the side.
This was followed by house salads, included in the entree price. My wife and I had the puttanesca, which is superb. It's also Katie, but I finished it! Half of my wife's order came back home with us. Our friends tried the neat ravioli and the eggplant Parmesan . The eggplant dish was huge! She could barely finish half.
Are there negatives? The place has a pizzeria side and a restaurant side. We like sitting on the restaurant side. They had a private party, which took up almost the entire space, but there was a side room, which is where we were seated.
Service wasn't as fast as usual, because they need to attend to the party and our side room was a little isolated. There were small problems.
Romeo's is reasonably priced and the good is great. It's a BYO restaurant too!

My boyfriend and I love sweets, but the hot chocolate was awful. The drink only comes in one size (which looks like a 6 ounce cup) and yet they charge $4.75. It basically tasted like straight up cocoa powder with only a hint of liquid. My boyfriend remarked that he's never felt guilty consuming anything sweet until now and said he felt like he had to chew his hot chocolate. In order for either of us to drink it, we had to go home and dilute it with more milk because it was basically thick slop. Although the ice cream generally tastes decent, the quantity is absurd - a small is pretty much half a scoop for $4.75. Much better off (price-wise and quality-wise) going to a Starbucks for hot chocolate and any other ice cream joint for dessert. Oh, and this place is cash only.

As we meet at this location about every month maybe Tuesday is not such a good idea.
The hostess is pleasant enough as she seated us (four people) at any table we desired. Not many other patrons in the place (four others). We noticed that the prices for the specials have increased since our last visit, but just chalked it up to inflation. We started with stuffed mushrooms for the table. They were delicious. I had ordered Whole wheat pasta with veggies and chicken ( pretty bland even after I put some pepper on), my friend ordered pasta and clams (red sauce) ladies ordered salmon. Ladies said fish was very good. My chicken didn't make the first round, but got it near the end of my meal. The waiter felt bad and didn't charge for the tartufo that my friend ordered for desert, Perhaps Tuesday is not the best time to visit this restaurant.
