Muddy Waters Bar and Grill

I went to dinner with a friend and had great service from the time we arrived. We were sat outside as requested on busy Friday night, our server was attentive on drink ordering, and reordering. Our food order went in and was delivered as requested. Our server went above just delivering our food but taking my friends back to stay warm while he stepped away. I had a necklace fall off on our way in and he went to look for it (necklace and pendant found). The server asked what was going on and went looking inside the restaurant walkway for me too! After the crisis was averted we enjoyed our meal and gave a nice tip to the server for her help looking and her great service.

Emily's Bakery & Deli

Emily's is an excellent bakery which makes almost everything sold themselves. They make many different types of bread, all good for the types I have tried. Seasonally, they make some ethnic specialties. Most any type of bakery item is available. They also have a limited deli which makes excellent cold sandwiches of many types using their own breads, as well as homemade soups that vary by each day. All that I have had are very good.

Everything was exactly what you would expect from a well run franchise restaurant...Very attentive counter girls offering great service, I had the local favorite Ultimate burger combo with a 1$ optional DQ sandwich...they have gotten smaller over the years but still very tasty.....My hats off to a well run DQ...

Glad I stopped here. Great menu. I got the Onion Flatbread and small salad. As good as advertised. Would come here again if ever in beautiful Hastings. Very nice river town. Very scenic riverfront out in front. Lewis Y was my server and he did a fine job. Menu looked like good burgers and salads available.

Dunn Bros has a very different atmosphere than say Caribou. Caribou is on the special west side and reflects that. Dunn Bros is warm and inviting and just plain comfortable. It is always fun to go when they are actually roasting the beans. Their coffee is a little richer with a bit more flavor. The service has always been good and the coffee spot on. I do hate it when they run out of blueberry muffins or rice crispy bars. On the other hand I more than likely shouldn't eat either one. Do stop in when you have the chance.

After having dinner in Prescott we walked over to the Twisted Oak Coffee House and got some Cedar Crest ice cream, which is fantastic and you don't see everywhere. The atmosphere is super cozy, definitely a place you want to sit down and relax at for a while. We also had a chance to talk with the owner and he seemed like a great young guy.

We have been to this ice cream parlor many times since we moved to Hastings. There are many many flavor to choose from including a tiny free scoop to top off your cone or dish. I can't remember how many tables there are in the shop, perhaps 8-10. They are open all year round. It is located in a small outdoor mall.

The food was not only really tasty, but there are unusual selections on the menu like red flannel hash, bacon/blueberry pancakes, and a pulled pork BBQ selection for breakfast. Have had dinner there too (thurs-sun only) and it was imaginative as well. Good service too!

The Busted Nut

Reviewed By Mainsailhr - Hudson, Wisconsin

Good service and food for dinner, but the bartender was dumber than a box of rocks. Ordered a simple bourbon and 7 tall, and I am not particular if the bourbon comes from the "well". The others in my group ordered some local beers. Waitress brings the beer and tells me there is no bourbon. I must have gotten this totally incredulous look on my face and she immediately responded with, "I'll go back and check." She comes back in a couple of minutes just shaking her head with my drink. Not a great start, but things did get better. Ordered onion rings and cheese curds for appetizers, and literally couldn't eat all of them - but both were really good and dipped in their own batter and not pre-packaged. Everyone's meal was superb.

My husband and I bring our kids (10 and 12) here. Its our go to when we want a great meal with friendly happy service. Food is great, try the burgers and wings, and the outside patio is lovely on a nice day. Don't forget to try some local beers on top. We recently had a beer flight for 8$ and it was excellent! Please give this place a try.
