Food is great, authentic Mexican styled. Cost was slightly high comparatively to Malaysian standards, but the atmosphere was definitely worth it.
Service however, was sub-par. They hired young Malaysian boys as waiters, who couldn't speak much English and we had multiple communication breakdowns. They were not very clear of what they were supposed to do, and there was no management of the situation.

Lucky King Bun

In Malaysia's rich food culture, many love eating buns and rich curry. But while it is common to take buns with chicken curry, not many have tried baking the curry inside the bun. Now with Chicken Curry Bun, food lovers can savour a unique taste sensation like no other! Fall in love with a one-of-a-kind culinary creation - the original Curry Chicken Bun.The-Prestigious-Product-Quality-Award Sometimes also referred to as Port Dickson Curry Chicken Bun or Lukut Curry Chicken Bun or Seremban Curry Chicken Bun, it is a unique dish consisting of chicken curry with potatoes and thick gravy wrapped inside a gigantic bun. Best of all, it is not too spicy so that diners of all ages and tastes can savour it. Tuck into this must-try delicacy today! HISTORY The story of Lucky King Bun began in the quiet town of Lukut, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan over three decades ago, when the husband-and-wife team of Mr. Chaw and Madam Lew brainstormed over new creating new food dishes. Being avid fans of cooking and baking with over 30 years' experience in the culinary industry, the pair decided to merge their expertise with a dish that required both skills. After much hard work and experimentation, the fruit of their labour was extraordinary - a sumptuous combination of chicken curry with potatoes and thick gravy wrapped inside a gigantic bun. Termed the Curry Chicken Bun, this wildly popular dish became an instant classic made famous through word of mouth. Today, the dish has become a massive homegrown success story with buns being churned out by the hundreds daily. However, it is still made with the same meticulous passion and quality as day one, with Madam Lew herself keeping a close eye on the entire process from preparation of ingredients to baking and cooking. The result - a mouth-watering delicacy that customers travel from near and far daily to savour! THE PROCESS Enjoying Curry in a Loaf is a simple and convenient affair, but a tedious amount of preparation goes into it as each bun is made fresh daily. Spanning about 6 to 8 hours in total, the process begins with cooking the curries as early as 6am. Over 20 different ingredients and spices are used to extract the rich distinctive flavour that customers love. Next, the curries are carefully transferred into bowls where they are first wrapped in grease proof paper before another additional wrapping of aluminium foil. The outer layer is light spread with butter to ensure that the bun will not stick to the foil after baking. Once this is complete, the freshly made dough is kneaded and cut by hand into evenly sized pieces to form loaves covering the individual aluminium foil packets. After being left to rise for several rounds, the buns are ready to be baked. Upon completion, the final touch is applied with egg yolk glazing to attain the buns' signature shiny golden brown finish.

Was recommended by a friend to this Lucky King Bun in a quiet town of Lukut, Port Dickson. Lucky King Bun is situated at one corner of the shop house, popular for its Pork Ribs & Chicken Curry Bun. If you have been to Seremban, this speciality is also famous there.
The shop is easily identified by the chicken mascot in front of the shop and with a simple glass cabinet displaying big buns. These buns were attractive in its shiny golden brown thin crust.
If you are afraid that the curry might be spicy, you may want to prepare yourself by ordering some drinks first.
Bun is being cut into flower like "petals" using their signature cutting method, revealing the packet of curry in between. Diners can choose to have chicken or pork ribs curry. However, if you want to have both of it, they do offer such combination too.
Buns are freshly make and baked daily. Best consumption period is within 4 hours. The bread is pillow soft and fluffy. It has a sweet taste that you can actually eat it on its own. However who will resist such delicious tasty thick curry that lays in front. Enjoy the meal to the fullest by dipping the bread into the aromatic curry that give u a bursting flavour.
Portion is quite big and best to share with at least 3 pax or more.
Curry Bun - RM 34.00
Looking at most tables, its hard just to order curry bun alone. Each of the table do order some sides. For us we had some greens to go with. Crunchy and not too oily.
Vegetables - RM 13.00
We had ordered other other side dishes like their soup lala. Lala were freshly cooked and soaked up in tasty broth. Naturally sweet from the seafood and taste were perked up by the use of ginger and green chilli padi, adding on a little spiciness in between.
Soup Lala - RM 23.00
The popularity of Lucky King Bun is evident and the coffeeshop is fully packed as soon as we dined in. For those who are taking away the buns, it is best to follow their instructions to keep the buns in a cool and dry place, avoiding direct sunlight.
Service was ordinary but they were quick to serve.

This is a relatively new place - opened less than a year ago. It is located at the PD Waterfront and is next to the MacDonalds outlet.

We arrived for dinner just before 7. Although the restaurant was empty and there were staff at the entrance chatting away, none of them acknowledged our existence and we had to approach to check if they were even receiving customers.
Thankfully the outdoor seats on the ground floor were still available. Those are the best seats in the house, peaceful and right on the waterfront - go for these if you get a chance.
Standout dishes you should try - Salted egg bitter gourd was addictive and the banana leaf grilled fish, spicy and really appetizing.
All the other dishes we had tasted fine too. We ordered chili and black pepper crabs and while the crabs were really fresh, their chili and black pepper flavors did not match up - forgettable. Our salted egg squid was overfried hence chewy but taste was fine.

Came highly recommended by friend, so decided to try for dinner at this restaurant. My experience can be summarized below:
Food: Average by my standard. One size dish so regardless of how many pax, just one standard size.
Ambience: Rustic
Cleanliness: Moderate (unfortunately when we were eating, there were lots of flies)
Staff: Rather responsive, but the owner was slightly cocky
Service: Pretty slow service. We were the 2nd customers for dinner but ended up waiting for >30 mins to be served
Price: Expensive ($$$) considering that the place is located at rural area which you will not be able to find without GPS.
Final verdict:
- Should be a one off visit for me unfortunately.

We decided to try out this Mcdonald's for lunch. The restaurant location is good. It is located at Port Dickson Waterfront. Nice scenery in front of the restaurant. The service is quite fast and the restaurant is quite clean. Most Mcdonald's restaurant, you can find tables which weren't clean up and sticky. But this Mcdonald's restaurant is quite clean and the staffs clear the tables away quite fast. Hope the management keep up the good work.

Had dinner here last night (4 June 2017). Food as usual, as per my previous trips, were of great taste. We ordered the Dry Emperor noodles, Hot Plate tofu with minced chicken, and the Lemon Chicken. All tasted great, except the portion for the Lemon Chicken was a bit small in comparison with the other 2 dishes, though we ordered all small. Service by the chinese girl was courteous as usual.
Will definitely be back for food here if I am ever around!

The restaurant is air-conditioned and opens early at 830am so that a plus. The food in itself is average although the dry version is better than the soup version. The yellow wine chicken is also too sweet for our liking. Nothing to shout about really and it wasn't cheap either. To sum up: I have had better in KL/PJ.

This is my first time dining here as I've got recommendation from a friend.
Was here for lunch around 2pm and they were just preparing for business.
We had ordered their signature Asam Hot Wok Seafood (prawns were quite big), Marmite Pork Chop, Beancurd with minced pork (love the sauce with wine), Oysters Egg Omelette, Ginger Steam Crayfish (so fresh!!!) an 2 stir fried Choi-Dam (we initially ordered one but it's so yummy that we encore another!).
Do try their no preservative Lemon Plum Juice that comes in bottles, which is pretty good for the hot weather in PD!
Food was served pretty quick and it's very tasty! We had 6 plates of rice, 2 teapots of tea Po-Lei, Chrysanthemum tea, 3 bottles of Lemon Plum Juice and 6 dishes, bill was just RM230.00 which is definitely worth it!
We'll definitely recommend this for dinner as lunch could be a little too hot!
P.s.: We were lucky they also have durians that afternoon. We had 4 different types (ie.RM28 per kilo) ie.XO (1), Udang Merah (1), Kam Fung (2), all 4 were very good quality!
