Was told about this restaurant by a local resident when the lines at our preferred establishment were too long. We were not disappointed. The decor was classic and the food was plentiful and excellent. Service also was excellent. Would definitely eat here again.

Buffalo Joe's Drive-in

We Were in town to visit the Mercantile. When the line there was three hours, we got in the car headed down main street. We came across what looked to be an old Pizza Hut that have been transformed into a new restaurant, Buffalo Joe’s. It is a typical locals place, nice waitresses solid menu snd short order cooks that get the food out quick, bottom line it’s a family place. We enjoyed chili, with no beans, grilled cheese sandwich, and a patty melt. Plus really good french fries and fried pickles with ranch dressing.

Reasonably priced, clean and good - give it a try!

Cute little shop with great hot dogs. You fix it yourself and add any toppings you desire. Then they weigh it. Was really good if you are looking for a quick bite.

Living locally, it's great to have a Mexican restaurant nearby. We have always had good service and the food has always been enjoyable.
The salsa and chips are good. Our favorite thing to eat here is the Mexican Skillet. It's rice and grilled vegetables with meat of your choice. We like it with shrimp. Then they top it with their queso. Very good!
Changed it up this last time and he got a combo dinner and I got an enchilada and Chile relleno.
Everything was up to standards and well prepared.

Had the brisket samich and fries. Fries were soggy and cold, brisket was dry as a bone. The Budlight was just as I expected it to be, no problem there.

Okie's Burgers and Ice Cream

Made fresh from scratch daily: Home grown beef burgers, fresh cut fries, and homemade ice cream!

Reviewed By a1paigep - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

We came across Okie's while riding thru town looking for a quick lunch before heading out to the Pioneer Woman lodge. Burgers and fries at the local drive-in is usually a good choice. This choice was not only good, it was AWESOME! Handmade burgers, fresh ground beef, griddle cooked with that lovely touch of carmelization on the meat...heaven! Then there were the fries. I didn't ask...but I'd bet money that they were fresh cut, fried so well you could actually taste the potato!! Take my advice...unless you are sharing with at least 2 additional hungry folks...get the half order! It's enough for 2, easy! The 4 of us were stuffed when they mentioned that their ice cream was HOMEMADE!! We couldn't force another bite...but we'll be back..next time we'll try it out.

We spent the morning at the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, and a couple of researchers there recommended the catfish at Buffalo Joe's for lunch. We really like catfish, and since we travel a lot doing field work, we have tried it at many places. This catfish dinner with mahed potatoes and greenbeans was extraordinarily good, as was the chocolate pie! The service was friendly and quick, the prices modest. Well worth the trip into town!

Daylight Donuts

We needed to pick up donuts for our Sunday School class. This place was exactly what we needed.
They had all different kinds and we went late on a Saturday morning.
The Mother and son that work there are very friendly and tell you about each flavor. I really appreciate their customer service.
The donuts here are always fresh and flavorful. Rodney (owner) always has inventive and fun new flavors. The sausage rolls and Cajun hand (fried?) Pies are awesome too!
