Helena

Reviewed By שמואל כ - Tel Aviv, Israel

Helena's talented chef prepares fine fish and seafood with a twist on traditions, finding unexpected combinations. Calamari with labaneh works well, as well as sea bass with dill sauce, roasted heart of lettuce, and Denis with spinach gnocchi. But sometimes the search for inovation goes beyond the capabilities of the service staff, especially on a sunny weekend afternoon when the place is crowded. Waiters had a hard time explaining some specials, brought food before they had put out silverware, and one whole fish was served in a deep metal tray which made it very hard to eat. If they fix the service details, a good tourist restaurant could really become a fine dining place.
Of course, the destination is already great. In the Ceasarea archaeological park, Helena has great ocean views and the prices are fair.

Koya

Reviewed By Esther S

Koya is a pleasant restaurant with a bar that serves lunch and dinner and has a nice bar serving food and drinks located in an industrial park in Cesarea. Food was anywhere from good to lousy. we were three ; we ordered a steak with french fries, a chicken salad that came with bread and a roast beef Sandwich "special" of the day. unfortunately the steak was not fresh and we returned it. and french fries saw better days. they were dry and old. the bread was stale and returned and the Sandwich was good. The waitress was pleasant but not professional at all. and we were surprised that when we left the manager didn't even apologize for the food we had to return.

Palogi

Palogi is a family restaurant that highlights Italian cuisine and is strongly influenced by the Mediterranean. The Paloge family, originally from Jerusalem, launched the restaurant in 2009. In charge of the old building’s restoration was Itamar, the son, who’s a graduate of Bezalel Art College, and Aryeh, the father of the family. Heading the kitchen is Shaul, Itamar’s brother, who has chalked up experience in several restaurants in Israel and Italy; he acquired his culinary education, among others, in Florence and Tuscany. Shaul’s tremendous love for Italian cuisine is obvious. He has assembled a menu starring Italian classics alongside creative dishes using local and Mediterranean ingredients. The restaurant’s desserts are also Italian-inspired, and diners can enjoy a meticulously prepared tiramisu, or a Middle Eastern knafeh filled with mascarpone cream. The cosy and cheerful restaurant is open for business lunches and elegant dinners, and the atmosphere changes throughout the day – with colourful ceramic tables at lunchtime, and snowy white tablecloths when night falls. A deli menu is served in the intimate bar on the top floor, offering smoked and pickled fish, carefully chosen cheeses, and a cocktail and spirits menu. It’s the perfect setting for a romantic evening for two, or a get-together with friends. Both the restaurant and bar are suitable for private events and celebrations. A special menu is available for children, featuring everything kids love to eat – just prepared by a chef. In the eucalyptus grove by the restaurant there’s a small playground, purpose-built for young customers, and it’s a great place to run and play while Mum and Dad enjoy their meal.

Nice atmosphere, unique dishes and good service. Somewhat pricy ? Offers a small but deversified menu of main dishes and at the same time very tasty home style cooking with a twist.

I don't know where to begin - the incredible cafe, fabulous bakery for take-a-way breads, the BBQ food-truck on Fridays - this place is incredible. I've been here maybe 40-50 times, it exceeds expectations 100% of the time. I recommend the salmon frittata for breakfast, gourmet pizza's for lunch. The salads are awesome as well, huge, good presentation. Tip: On Fridays go EARLY (8am), breakfast in the cafe, lunch at the BBQ truck, enjoy!

By far, this is the supreme bakery for pastry, bread and then it is a lovely restaurant with a breezy balcony to sit, chat and enjoy a sumptiously prepared lunch. No time for lunch, there are little finger plates to sample all sorts of spreads and breads.

The Stork

By day: a good falafel and shawarma place (including vegetarian shawarma), with a large sitting area outside.
By night: a local pub- great atmosphere, basic pub food and a nice selection of beers from Israeli Breweries. From time to time live music events: https://www.facebook.com/pages/%D7%94%D7%97%D7%A1%D7%99%D7%93%D7%94/112184605533928?sk=events.
A great place except for one problem- people smoking absolutely everywhere, inside and outside, like there's no tomorrow and no smoke- free laws. Not for non-smoking people!

Yo Yo's Sushi

Reviewed By Tal K - Israel

Overall mediocre Asian food. I order to my office quite frequently. This time I ordered edamame (steamed soy beans) as an appetizer. After eating some, I noticed a fat little green caterpillar popping out of one of the pods. Naturally, this ended my meal prematurely....MoreAfter asking and understanding the main dish was good Only a part of this review is true, no "small" compensation was offer , and no refund was asked by this costumer
