Highly recommend this restaurant!
The food was divine, some classic Italian recipes made with Polish seasonal ingredients, making the Polish twist possible on some of the dishes. The service was brilliant - the staff were very attentive and spoke excellent English.
The decor was great, modern understated witrh small touches like tealights and fresh roses on tables setting the romantic mood.
This was very clearly a young persons livelihood and a major investment and you really could tell - they put their heart into every single aspect of our meal, from the finer detail like the presentation of the menu cards, through to the decor, the great service and the excellent food. The wines were also of great quality.

Golonka w Pepitke is a restaurant where one may try local food made according to the traditions of Wielkopolska. Imho, the concentration of Vegeta in their food is significantly lower than in most of the home cooking there, which makes it authentic, but not completely up-to-date :) The restaurant is decorated in red and white, everything looks very new.
Fairly nice place to try golonka, pork hock, which is not over salted (not always the case). According to my experience, waiters don't speak English, though they try hard to be helpful.

I popped in here as it was downstairs from my hotel and ordered, what I thought, would be a reasonably tasty but ordinary Sandwich. However what came in front of me was an oozy gooey Camembert, chicken Sandwich with herb sauce inside, sundried tomatos and cold crisp lettuce with a very warm filling (well separated!) and it was a very generous portion.
I have to admit, it was probably the best Sandwich I have ever eaten and sadly I have eaten a lot of sandwiches in my life! :)
The coffee was great as well, and I was full after that Sandwich, despite wanting another, there was no way I could have eaten it.
I will be back!

I am just a tourist that happened to be visiting this town but I heard that this place was the place to go to get some proper Italian pizza and the advice was bang on the money.
There were 4 of us in the group, 3 had been here before so it was my first time. The restaurant itself is decorated wonderfully. It has cheeky little touches (underwear on a balcony washing line) to neat designed windows and decorations throughout. It is great to be able to go into a restaurant that can be simple in its approach to design and yet look like much work went into making it look great! The effort is appreciated!
As for the food. Well, you need to try the pizza. They are delicious, and very big. We ordered 2 pizzas between the 4 of us and that was about right. Huge slices of pizza where you can actually see the components on them, unlike many of the chain restaurants that have sadly taken over our high streets.
The service was very attentive and friendly, however as I was the only native English speaker I had to guess what they were saying to the members of my party. However everything was bought to us quickly with a smile! And the value? Excellent!
I will be back when I am back in town!

Very good food, excellent service, decent (not cheap) prices. Good for business meeting, family event, probably romantic dinner as well. Our lunch was just a pleasure.
Only remark - the whole place is decorated according to elegance trends early 90'. It's clean, well preserved, nice - but slightly outdated.

Went here twice in one day while wandering the square and had fun both times!
Breakfast was epic, a stunning breakfast lumberjack Sandwich full of well cooked tasty ingredients, Very full and happy afterwards.
Later in the day we sat in the outside beer garden they have set up and we drank a lot of vodka. The staff were quick and friendly and the environment really enjoyable Of course I will be back :)

Italiano Vero obiecywało kawałek Włoch w pochmurnej Wielkopolsce. Niestety to bardzo nierówne bistro. Smaczne produkty przeplatają się tu z nieposzanowaniem tradycji korzystania z najlepszych produktów. Jakby ktoś postawił jedynie na dobry początek, myśląc że zapewni sukces. Otóż nie. Po początku powinna być kontynuacja i szczera miłość do gotowania. Tylko wtedy restauracja ma autentyzm i to "coś". Przyjemne wnętrze, dość miła obsługa i częściowo dobre produkty nie wystarczą. Menu jest skomponowane ciekawie i zawiera wiele włoskich akcentów. Niektóre produkty np sery są przyzwoite. Ale brakuje kropki nad i. Flagową pozycją w menu są śniadania, ponoć podawane z pysznym chlebem. Jakież rozczarowanie, kiedy do dobrych włoskich serów, czy wędlin podawany jest "podrabiany" ciemny chleb rodem z sieci handlowej o nazwie jednego z owadów. A przecież Włochy mają przepyszne pieczywo: Abruzzo, pagnotta, focaccia... Pewnie i w Ostrowie Wielkopolskim znalazłaby się piekarnia gotowa przygotować pyszne włoskie pieczywo. Nie broni się też kawa - przeciętna, bez włoskiego aromatu. A największym grzechem jest Prosseco - przestarzałe i po prostu niesmaczne (a przecież to wino typu spumante). Dobry początek to połowa sukcesu. Niestety ewidentnie zabrało tu drugiej połowy i sukcesu nie ma.

Bardzo duże porcje, miła obsługa a prze de wszystkim bardzo dobry smak lodów. Biliśmy kilku krotnie i za każdym razem 100% satysfakcji, Co ważne dla osób z dziećmi można jedną porcje skomponować z różnych smaków. Lodziarnia godna polecenia.
