We were looking for lunch and had found this ship restaurant. The atmosphere on the ship is wonderful, also the view around while waiting for your meal. The restaurant stands in the historical part of Osijek, not far from the Fortress (tvrđava), St. M ichael Chruch and the Museum of Slavonia. It's thus an adequate place to drop in to have a meal after visiting one of those monuments or attractions or at any time in the evening.
Inside it's very nicely decorated with paintings and ancient photos and other antiques hanging on the restaurant peculiarly pink painted walls. All those elements together with the profusion of lamps, some of them very nice, and the elegant furniture, including the comfortable chairs, contributes to create an atmosphere evoking past times and thus injecting calm and peacefulness. That atmosphere is only spoilt by the music which is quite loud and not of a very good quality.
The food served there is in general good. Nevertheless one must be careful about what he is served. Sometimes that can differ from what he has ordered. This advice derives from the fact that something strange in that respect occurred to the undersigned, who ordered a veal dish and was served chicken.
The staff members just do their job with more or less zeal. As a matter of fact, they could be a bit kinder and more attentive to the foreign customers' needs.
At any rate, going into that restaurant may turn up to be a good experience especially on account of the aforesaid decoration, which is no doubt the best feature of the place concerned.

I am regular in this restaurant for more then 25 yrs. they normally say, "no news, good news" - this is the case here - they do not change anything (but furniture, and paint, not even waiters, some of them are the same which says a lot)
Food quality is great, prices as well
Best pick for barbecue in Osijek.
My suggestion - Čobanac as a starter (do not be affraid and pick a spicey one) and as a main course Pljeskavica sa sirom (hamburger with stuffed cheese). Great! Salads by your choice. Enjoy!

When picking a restaurant I rarely consider hotel restaurants, but this is probably the best restaurants in Osijek. The location and the views are beautiful, and the interior very cozy, specialy in the evening. Their kitchen is great, they have the best steaks in town, and they make their own pasta. Chocolate soufflé with ice cream is a definite must try! The prices are normal, the staff really professional and pleasant, so I really recommend this place.

The Restautrant, not far from the River Drava, is quite normal as far as atmosphere and personnel is concerned. The decoration is quite peculiar. It consists mainly of logs for oven, bottles and movie scenes. The lamps are very adequate for the place. They have much style particularly owing to the length of the cables by which they hang from the ceiling thus confirming their aesthetic nature. Unfortunately the music is rather annoying due to its bad quality. The staff members could be a bit kinder.
The food isn’t bad but what I had was nothing extraordinary. As far as the pasta included in the menu is concerned its options are rather reduced. I ordered spaghetti carbonara as I had not a large choice in this respect and there was too much fat in it, which is not at all healthy. Its taste was good anyway. The fish dishes must be rather good. At least their appearance lets one think so.
