Went to the Palmar on the recommendation of an associate and found the restaurant to be clean and the staff very welcoming. We ordered some appetizers that included fish egg tacos and charales (small dried fish coated with flour) that you pop in your mouth and eat. The fish egg tacos were good, the charales were okay. For lunch we had huachinango zarandeado (red snapper). None of the fish comes from the lake as I am told that the lake is polluted and besides red snapper is a salt water fish and not of the lake variety. The fish is cooked with tomatoes, cucumber, and onions, and it comes with rice, beans and tortillas. I thought the fish was very tasty but a couple people in the group said is better in other parts of Mexico. All in all I thought it was very good and the view of the lake is nice and I would definitely go back.

Este es uno de mis restaurantes favoritos cuando visito la Ciénega, me encanta el trato que me dan, sus dueños son muy amables y te hacen sentir en casa, AMO los camarones al coco ( servidos en un coco, con cremita de coco y una cereza, acompañados de ensalada y arroz ) en verdad! súper recomendables. Cuenta con amplio estacionamiento, una vista hermosa al lago de Chapala y una buenísima atención. Me encanta que nunca eh tenido problemas con mi facturación.

Really nice spanish restaurant in Ocotlán, right in the center. It's a good change from the typical mexican food. The night I went they had told us there would be live music but there wasn't. Other than that we got great service, even a picture of us on their facebook page cause there was 3 of us, all foreign girls.

The breakfast was good, if was fast and the service was great and personal, the chilaquiles were very good, had some cream mixed in with the tomato sauce and had a different but good taste

Este lugar debe tener más de 50 años y su comida sigue siendo buena el ambiente muy familiar la vista al lago de chápala muy linda es recomendable pedir los platos de la región

Un lugar donde además de sentirte bien recibido, el menú es muy especial y original, lo cual no encontrarás otro igual en Ocotlán.
El lugar permite con diferentes tipos de bebidas y alimentos sentirte creativo y buscar nuevos productos que gratamente puedo decir que he disfrutado de una sidra de frutos rojos de Inglaterra y una cerveza Guinness con una botana mixta y buena música sin gastar mucho.
Me pareció genial para charlar de negocios pero también para traer a mi familia para pasar un rato agradable. Lo único que me gustaría ver es que con ese mismo servicio incluyeran servicio por las mañanas de desayunos para hacerme mejor adepto del lugar

Muy agradable ya que la comida esta muy rica y el servicio de bar es muy bueno, el ambiente es muy bueno porque tiene aire acondicionado y la musica esta bien para el momento.
