Clsoe to the ruins, outside the town in the nature. If you like that, thats a place to be. It is absolutly basic, no service. Price for one person in a dbl room about 15 Euros The rooms are clean but a little maintenance would not be bad. If you consider that you can already get a room with AC in Paleque town for 20 Euros, the price value/relation is not the best. But compared to the El Panchan across the street, it is the better choice.

We just returned from a week in Chiapas and we stayed overnight in Ocosingo after visiting Tonina. We had the pleasure of eating dinner here and we all agreed that it was by far the best meal of our whole trip! I don't even know where to begin... the service, the food, the ambiance.. it was all so great! Definitely let the chef make recommendations! My husband did and I loved his meal so much we ended splitting our meals so we could each have some. I would definitely recommend an overnight in Ocosingo so that after you visit the ruins you can eat here!!

You will feel like high-class, eating just on the main square at the main hotel. But as you know it from Europe, these "prominent" retsaurants loose touch with locals and atmosphere and does not provide wellcoming staff. The food was ok, but expensive. Next time, we choose something less shiny, but more warm with probably the same food quality
