Excellent food in an elegantly confortable setting. I had the surf and turf, which may seem unimaginative, but it was beautifully prepared and presented. Good restaurant for business, but a bit expensive.

Bridge View Tavern

Stumbled onto Bridge View Tavern a while ago and had a great experience, so when was in a neighborhood again, went for a return visit.
What a wonderful, unpretentious place with great service and good food! A real neighborhood gem.
Everything was delicious - onion soup had lots of tasty cheese, "build-a-burger" was cooked just right, Disco fries did not disappoint, and chocolate lava cake flowed delicious chocolate.
The atmosphere was so cozy and friendly, and you could really see the bridge out the windows!
The best part was our waitress, Patti, whose services we enjoyed on the previous visit as well. She really knows how to welcome guests and make them feel appreciated and taken care of! She stopped by often to check on things, see if we needed anything, and just to share a joke or a kind word. Really made our visit special.
The plentiful meal with soft drinks, shared dessert and two coffees was just over $50, before tax and tip - a great value!
Looking forward to coming back again!

We made a reservation to meet out of town friends at this restaurant for its first seating.

From the moment we sat down, we felt rushed. The 2 servers were cold and gave an aloof vibe.

Food was fine but overall dining experience was tainted by this attitude. It was not the pleasant dining experience that we had hoped to have.

Very lively atmosphere, basically a bar with resturaunt seating on the side. The BBQ was good, the star was the brisket! Had the combo for one, baby back ribs which were a little dry for me, pulled short rib was nice, but the brisket was great done North Carolina style with that little vinegar taste. The service was great, if you are in the area check it out.

Art Cafe's cuisine is inspired by the many coffee shops that you might find in the streets of Tel Aviv and Europe, with a mix of traditional Israeli recipes and some new creative flavors. Not only do we have a passion for great taste but we also focus on food being healthy. We strongly believe in the phrase "you are what you eat" so we integrate Organic products wherever possible into our dishes. Our focus on such great quality and flavor has led us to Blue Bottle Coffee, a fully Organic and fresh brand of coffee based in Oakland, that pairs well with many of our dishes.

Art Cafe is the perfect neighborhood spot. A few weeks ago, my daughter and I were in Westchester, looking for a breakfast spot, and found ourselves driving all the way back to Nyack for Art Cafe. It is that one comfortable spot that you can go for a simple cappuccino, or full fare breakfast, lunch or light dinner. They do not serve meat here, so keep that in mind. Flavors are wonderful without.

Our group went here on Sunday of July 4th weekend. We were two couples. The ambiance is attractive. The menu is beautiful with many seafood, meat and vegetarian choices. They have smaller plates as well as entrees and appetizers. We shared the mezze platter which was a TINY taste of many different spreads (hummus, tzatziki, etc) and olives, artichokes and the like. Delicious but surprisingly small tastes of each for a $25 appetizer platter. Among the four of us, other food items included both meat, fish and vegetarian items. Fairly high food prices and portions are not too generous, but you can taste the quality ingredients which we appreciated. Everything was attractively presented and tasted great. Glasses of wine are in the $12-14 range.

this was a special occasion for a friend's 60th and I was hoping for something special. Very impressed with the service from the get-go. Got a couple calls from them to confirm time, ask about food preferences and allergies. Parking's an issue but that isn't their problem. We had fabulous food - chick pea appetizer (kind of fried, very tasty), excellent bread, kale and greens salads (both superb); hanger steak was the best tasting steak I've ever had; i enjoyed a bite of my wife's swordfish; my duck lasagne frankly was just so-so, kind of dry and tired but it didn't detract from the meal; good wines, good beers, good desserts, friendly and informative service, nice place

Love their fruit topped waffles and pancakes! My only complaint is their short and few hours, especially since they don't take reservations. I know, it's selfish, but unless you get here at the crack of dawn or an hour before closing, you WILL be waiting for a table. Yes, it's that good. Yes I've waited an hour for a table; and it is always worth the wait.
