I took my mother and sister here for lunch. The wait staff was confusing because a variety of people came to our table, left before taking all three drink orders, and then came back. My mother ordered the burger, and the cook got the order right. My Cuban sandwich was delicious. I had the country "lemonade" with vodka. It was so smooooth. My mother had hot tea which she loves. My sister just wanted a glass of white wine. It was served in a juice glass. The restaurant doesn't offer stemmed glasses. My sister was disappointed because every time she picked up the glass, the warmth of her hands dropped the temperature of the glass a bit, so the white wine warmed up too soon. Maybe red wine in a juice glass would be okay but not white. My mother and I still enjoyed our lunches though. There was plenty for y mother and me for our leftovers. Check out was quick.

Evo Pizza

EVO (Extra Virgin Oven) Pizzeria is the wood-fired dream of Matt McIntosh and Ricky Hacker. Matt and Ricky met while working in the illustrious kitchen at FIG in downtown Charleston in 2003. The pair spent the better part of a year forming the concept for a wood-fired pizza shop that would focus on local ingredients. In 2005 they flew the coop to start EVO. The first incarnation was a mobile wood-fired pizza oven - in other words, a fancy trailer - that they used for catering. Turns out, people really like fancy trailer pizza. It became apparent that the concept was ready for a brick & mortar restaurant, and they found a perfect home on East Montague Avenue in North Charleston, part of the up-and-coming Park Circle area. In 2007, EVO Pizzeria fired up its ovens for the public, and hasn't stopped since. We come to work at EVO every day to bring fun, delicious food and drink to our community. We source locally and regionally because we're proud to be here. We cook with love because we love to cook. And who doesn't love pizza?

Stopped in on a Friday night and got seated right away. I ordered a salad, which came out at the same time the pizza did. :/ the salad was really good...lots of fresh veggies on it. We ordered the classic pepperoni pizza. It was pretty good, but nothing special. I did like the wood fired crust. My husband had the margarita pizza, which was much better than mine. Overall, a nice place, but nothing super out of the ordinary.

We ate here as part of a large group. Our server was attentive and pleasant. The fried pickles were good and hot and not greasy. I personally did not like the dipping sauce-it was too sweet for my taste.

The fries were piping hot and decadent if you dipped them in the house made garlic mayonnaise. I ordered my burger medium, which the menu listed as a warm red center but it was barely pink, basically well done. It was still juicy so I was okay with that but had it been dry I would have sent it back. The bun was good and the lettuce tomato and onion fresh. Again the garlic mayonnaise really made the sandwich.

We shared a Jedi Mind Trick milk shake, which was excellent-a blend of rum, amaretto, kahlua, baileys, and ice cream.

There were no draft beers available as their tap was broken but the bottles were good and inexpensive.

First, we have to give huge Kudos to Carina who took excellent care of us the night we were there. She provided great suggestions and impeccable service.

The wife and I split 2 appetizers
Crispy‎ fried oyster, fried green tomato, and pimento cheese which was as an unusual of a dish as it was amazing.

A large (huge) of crawfish MAC and Cheese which was loaded with fired and boiled crawfish. Did I say LOADED with crawfish

The wife ordered and loved the cajun redfish over dirty rice topped with crabmeat. The season on the flaky fish was very good and paired well with the dirty rice and crabmeat.

I had scallops which were perfectly cooked over an amazing bead of creamy risotto.

We finished the by splitting a nice Burban sauce bread pudding.

This is a must try place

Ribs. Pork. Chicken. Brisket. Hell, even sausage. All BBQ has the same three basic ingredients: smoke, meat and time. What makes it different is the amount, consideration and attention to each part of that recipe. That, and some really great bbq sauce, too. At Jim ‘N Nick’s, we pride ourselves on using the right ingredients, taking our time and honoring the traditions that brought us barbecue.

First, tremendous kudos to our server (whose name I unfortunately did not get) for her assistance with our food choices and her wonderful sense of humor!

Second, everything we tried was wonderful! The BBQ burger, the pulled pork potato, the brisket nachos, the brisket taco, the mac 'n cheese—all of it was fantastic! We unfortunately were too full to have dessert, but that would be on the agenda the next time we're in town!!

All of our menu items are made with the freshest ingredients available to us, from the greens in our salads to the seafood on our plates. Some of our items are marked as market and their availability depends on Mother Nature, ocean temperature, tides, favorable winds, the Dow Jones Index, the price of tea in China and among other things, how lucky our fishermen are. A little pricey. Portions were small for their crab clusters. Oysters were gulf oysters (not the higher end choices).

I would recommend the waiter bring out the oysters on half shell 1st, instead of bring oysters out at the same time as our steam buckets. North Charleston, SC. 1/16/18.

We went here to eat supper. The atmosphere was very nice and the place was very clean and orderly. The server was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, we had chicken parmesan and all the food was reasonably priced. We were standing outside waiting on our ride back to the hotel and the cook came by and chatted with us for a minute, very friendly.
