Visited the outback shack with a group of colleagues on December 16th. We ordered the breaded scallops and the bacon cheese bread for entrees. Generally ok. The bread had a lot of flavor but was soggy. The scallops were over powered by the breading. For my main I ordered the Cajun chicken stack. I enjoyed it. It was cooked well and the avocado was a nice addition. I wish there had been more Cajun spice. My colleagues had steaks which were cooked well but frankly we're from the midwestern US and prefer a thick, corn fed beef steak more than any steak we had while in Australia. It's also important to note that the restaurant has a limited number of side items. Most of the meals came with mashed potatoes and then an additional side of chips. A vegetable option would have been nice to consider.

We visited Narrabri in 2012 and like this time were passing through on our way to somewhere else. Stayed at the same caravan park (see other review) but had a look around town for somewhere to eat. Service is prompt and friendly and the meals are more than generous but lack quality and consistency.
I would prefer a much smaller meal prepared better than what is on offer here, but if a large average meal is your thing then this is the place for you.
Its ok.........especially for Narrabri

It's a McCafe do I need to say more. It is what you expect.
Plenty of parking outside, you order at the front counter I suspect to encourage you to purchase some food. It worked with me as I did just that.
Coffee Oder was quick and it was good, typical McDonalds coffee, reasonable without being great.

Nice little cafe that had we tried on the strength of reviews . Breakfast was delicious but unfortunately for me the coffee wasn't great. I enjoy a very strong brew and although asked for was way off mark . All the same worth stopping in.

Expected this to be a typical country bakery offering a range of pies and cakes, but I was surprised to find it was much more than that. Yes the pies and cakes are there but they also have a great Sandwich bar including the 'roast of the day' as well as a great range prepared lunches, including fruit salad. The coffee is very good too.

Our room was large, well-furnished, very clean with a modern bathroom, smart tv and a comfortable sofa as well as the usual tea and coffee making facilities. The room and furnishings appeared to be new and presumably recently renovated. I'm glad we booked ahead as the motel was full - always a good sign. The adjoining bowling club had a very nice bistro where the food was excellent and could be booked back to the motel room. We'll be back.

Passing through town and we were looking for something different apart from the usual fast food or truckie stop for breakfast. We ventured into the town centre and discovered this unassuming cafe.
It is very simple on the outside and in. Decorated sufficiently to provide a very quaint and different atmosphere.
The coffee was good and the food ordered was exceptionally presentation.
I defiantly recommended a slight detour from the usual Narrabri bypass of the town and visit this little cafe.
