Pascal's of Napier is a top rated restaurant which also offers B&B and self catering accommodation in the very heart of Napier. When visiting our restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or a romantic dinner, your hosts, Mark and Stephen, will ensure it will be both special and memorable. Al fresco in summer, fireside in winter.
We have read the the nice reviews for Pascal on TripAdvisor and wondered. We were not disappointed! The food was exceptional and the service was great. Don't mis Pascal if you visit Napier!Thank you for your kind words. We are so happy you enjoyed your visit and we hope to see you again!

Cozy pub and restaurant in Napier where you'll find an inviting 'pub and grub' vibe with great food and classic tunes on the box, a piano and a couple of guitars if you want to make your own music. Sit on our balcony and watch the world go by, enjoy the bird life in our garden or just relax and have a drink in our bar!
Straddling the edge of town is The Fox Pub, an English style establishment that’s been going at it for years.
Sitting out in the garden wasn’t an option, thanks to the weather, but there’s plenty choice inside. Food-wise, it’s a mishmash of burgers and basic pub grub that’s served up country style.
The lamb curry (78) came with a verbal warning of being on the spicy side, and whilst it did have a bit of a bite, you could safely say it was on the mild end of the scale. No watery eyes or congested sinuses with this one.
The Guinness pie (78) is served in a soup bowl, topped with a disc of buttery puff pastry. A hearty meal with decent flavour and side of chips.
A note on buying wine by the glass – we were quick to learn that most places fill your glass pretty much all the way. Unlike the regulated standard pouring in our beloved Australia where a glass of wine purchased will still be two-thirds (or more) empty.

We were a group of 10 that drove through Napier on a public holiday in September. They were able to accommodate us straight away on their stoep (porch) without having to make a reservation. Another coffee shop / restaurant in the main road made us feel 'unwanted' so we only had a coffee there and moved onto the farmstall (which we were super happy about in the end). The waitress was super friendly. The food was superb. Between us we has the gourmet burger, quiche and salad and breakfast. The cheesecake is decadent and rich but an absolute treat! It's a real small-town atmosphere- restaurant that I can highly recommend it!

Country Style Restaurant. We are renowned for our Gunner's Burger and Ribs. Pizza's are becoming our new forte.
We called at this establishment more or less by chance on our way through Napier after a visit to Bredasdorp and were pleasantly pleased to find the food very palatable and offered at a very reasonable price. The service was good and we were made very welcome. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

We set off on a day's adventure in the lovely Overberg and the plan was to kick off with a delicious breakfast. Needless to say we drove and drove until, nearly famished, we happened upon JD Bistro in the charming little farming town of Napier. As luck would have it we probably found the best breakfast in the district.
I ordered 2 boiled eggs with fries and spicy mayo - haven't dunked fries in a soft boiled egg since I was a child! Utterly decadent and utterly delicious. My daughter ordered soufflé corn cakes - amazing - and my son-in-law had a Big Boy Breakfast with home baked toasted ciabatta. The coffee was strong and the service delightful.
We looked at the lunch and dinner menu and nearly decided to just stay there for the day and try it all - it looked that good!

Authentic Spanish Tapas Restaurant & Accommodation.
This restaurant is in a converted house, so the tables are arranged in different rooms, in a rather homely, fun way. We were four (the restaurant was fully booked) when a poor traveler from the USA came looking for a meal. The hosts made him very welcome, even though they were busy. Being a tapas menu, we wanted t o try most of the items on offer, and we did. The prawns were a bit meagre, but very tasty; the aubergine snack was delicious; the chicken kebabs were dry (it's hard not to overcook chicken breast, I know) although the sauces were good. We also had a potato dish, which was not bravas, but still good enough for a re-order. We'd brought our own wine but I liked their selection and it wasn't TOO pricey. Service was fantastic - the restaurant is run by a team (maybe husband and wife?) and they make sure the guts are well looked after. All in all, a great night out.

We had great toasted sandwiches on home-baked bread, but felt robbed when the talkative owner charged us R225 for the two toasted sandwiches (R40 + R45) plus a can of Coke and one jar of home-made atjar. I paid and left - feeling robbed because we are used to buying farm produce at farm-stalls and never before felt that we were totally over-charged. Maybe this is why he keeps entertaining patrons with his jokes so that they pay the damage and run of as quick as possible. I realize that I should have asked him to keep the jar, but was stunned and just wanted to make a 'moerse' fast exit from this place. Sorry for the two nice ladies doing the baking, cooking and preserved foods.
