Muan County (Muan-gun) is a county in South Jeolla Province (Jeollanam-do), South Korea. In 2005, Muan County became the capital of Jeollanam-do following the transfer of the provincial office from its previous location, Gwangju to the village of Namak in Muan. Muan International Airport was opened here, and will eventually replace the airports in Gwangju and Mokpo.

목포 2박3일 여행을 하면서 목포 시내에 예약한 호텔에서 짐을 풀고 목포 여행지, 먹을곳을 검색해 보았다.
네이버등 검색에 보니 당연 독천식당이 최고의 인기,명성~~~!!
내가 보기에도 좋아서 차를 타고 슝슝~~달려서 10분 가니 독천식당~~!!
골목길 안에 있지만 찾기 쉬웠고 가게가 가로로 길어요 ㅎㅎ
첨에는 작은 가게인줄 알았는데 안에 들어가 보니 엄청 큽니다
가게 사장님, 종업원 친절하시고 낙지등 다양한 요리와 맛이 일품이었습니다.
담에 목포 재방문시 또 갑니다!!

While visiting our kids, who are teaching English in Mokpo, we visited Coffee Frame. Mr. Kong roasts his coffee on-site and serves delicious coffees (Americanos, lattes, mochas, and teas) in a stylish cafe that just begs for you to sit and chat with friends or business associates over a cup of coffee. I will try to update this post with the exact address, but in the meantime, if you are in Mokpo, do pass by some of the chain coffee shops and enjoy a coffee in this wonderful establishment!

This little gem is located upstairs in the building next door to another restaurant Black Smith. We tried the fried rice noodle dish with chicken and onions and it was very good. They serve cold jasmine tea and offer little sides such as pickled cabbage and carrots and onions. They also have salad with a nice kiwi dressing that diners are welcome to help themselves. A mix of fruit marinated in mint came alongside the noodle dish and it was very refreshing. Some colleagues of ours had been here for lunch before and ordered the 'make your own rolls'. This is what Hoa Binh is really known for, and they have won awards in the past for this dish. You dip rice paper in hot water to cook, then arrange the shrimp and vegetables and sauce to your liking and create your own vietnamese rice paper rolls. Really cute idea! The vegetables are really fresh and the restaurant is very clean and modern. I will definitely come back again to try the rice paper rolls and to try the Pho soup. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the dishes.

낙지를 싫어하는 사람들은 살아있는 낙지의 빨판이 끈적거리며 입속에 달라붙는 것을 싫어한다는데 그 단점을 극복하고자 만든 메뉴가 기절낙지임. 생낙지가 분명한데 안 움직여서 담백하고 부드러우며 아주 맛있다. 여기는 원래 돈 많은 지역 유지들이 낙지만 (마리에 15천원) 배터지게 먹다가 입가심으로 연포탕 좀 자시고 비빔밥 좀 자시고 그런 곳인데 수요미식회 나간 이후로 맛집 매니아들의 폭발적인 방문으로 이것저것 다 맛을 보니 오히려 마진이 줄었다함. 무안까지 찾아가서 먹어야 할까? 그정도는 아님. 이 집 김치가 참 맛있음. 뭐 근처까지 여행 갔다면 가보는 것도 나쁘지 않겠지만 엄청난 대기시간을 각오해야 할 듯.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the mokpo/namak area. A well presented delicious course meal in a nice enviroment. Its worth the price and is great for business, a date or for someone looking for something more refined that the typical korean meat house.
