We recently had a holiday dinner at Bellissimo and it was fantastic. We have eaten here often and the food and service are outstanding. The restaurant was packed and yet the staff treats everyone like you are the only person there. Great selection of food and specials. Highly recommend.

I didn't expect to have such a good meal in a nondescript strip mall restraint. Food was very good, service excellent and the room was comfortable but a bit loud (they could use some sound dampening). Also, prices were fair. Apps all tasty, salad comes with each dinner and main courses were all very good from Pasta Pest with Crabmeat and Tuna to Chicken Balsamico, and Cavatelli with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe.

Truffles Truffles and More Truffles. This place is an institution. Must call months in advance or check for cancellations. We had Umbria Truffles in the risotto special and a Tomahawk veal chop topped with truffles. This place is a BYOB so we brought in a early vintage bottle of OPUS 1.
The meal, wine and service was fabulousa.
This place is not opulent but more rustic somewhat like a barn.

Rockland Bakery

Specifically, my daughter-in-law, to know what a gem this place is. She and my son flew in from Seattle, and after that first hot, fresh bagel straight off of the oven, she had me bring her back two more times. It's a consumer-friendly industrial experience, where you put on your plastic glove, and pick from bins and racks of the freshest, best tasting baked goods you ever ate. I've heard from many restaurants in the area that their breads, served next to their signature dishes, come from Rockland Bakery, and it's no Wonder (yes, pun intended!)

I plan on visiting more frequently, and not taking this wonderful place for granted any longer.

Savini's Restaurant

Reviewed By MariaPaps - Wayne, New Jersey

Some people choose restaurants for the food, other people "eat the atmosphere." Savini's offers both--tasty food and lovely atmosphere. I just came home from a work-related holiday dinner and felt compelled to write a review. Our group met up at the bar prior to our 6 pm reservation. I ordered an espresso martini which was served quickly and with a smile. It was delicious. When we were seated for dinner, we started with a variety of appetizers--oysters Rockefeller, eggplant rollatini, calamari, grandma's meatballs, mozzorella caprese, and tortellini in brodo. All the appetizers were delicious, sharing was okay, and service was expediant. A variety of entrees were ordered by the group, including sausage cavatelli, veal parm, ziti bolognese, seafood genovese, rack of lamb, veal milanese and chicken picata. Some entrees looked more appealing than others (a bit too "old school" in the plating, but all were tasty). For example, the sausage was oddly cut into cubes, the picata was plated rather simply with mashed potatoes and green beans/carrots, and the veal milanese did not include the arugula salad; the veal parmesan looked like it had been plated by the local dinner cook, and the seafood although fresh and delicious was also served on plates that looked like they belong on the Jersey boardwalk with a pale blue & coral pink shell motif. If anything should be improved, it would be the plating--something more visually appealing and contemporary would up the overall dining experience, especially with the prices being what they are. Some finesse would elevate the food and complement the atmosphere. Even the bread is basic --something that anyone can buy at the supermarket.

Perfectly prepared, seasoned, and served lickety split! We will absolutely be back many times! Appetizers, 2 drinks each, dinner, and coffee about $110 with tip!

The food is great, service is great. If you go a little earlier than the lunch crowd, your food comes out very quickly. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the steak salad I just had recently is smaller than last time I was there. Same price, less steak. Could have been a fluke, until my friend went the next week and came back with the same comment. We were both hungry after we ate the entire plate. Otherwise, it was very delicious. Next time I'll order something on the side.

We go to Peppercorns practically every Friday night with friends; sometimes during the week as well. The staff are like family. We have had many items on the menu. All the soups are very good. Chicken wings, flatbread pizza and nachos are some of our favorite apps. Often we have dinners salads we either grilled chicken, salmon or steak. All are large and very tasty. The burgers are great. The CLT I one of my favorite sandwiches. You can't go wrong with any of the other sandwiches. Every day there are different specials that are all very good. One of my favorite dinners is the steak. I ask for Montreal steak seasoning on it. It is quite tasty and a good value. I'm never disappointed. Most times we share a sundae with or without the brownie. The beers and drinks are very good as well.
