Everything from scrambled eggs, buttermilk biscuits and Lodge sausage gravy to three cheese au gratin potatoes, smoked brisket, pulled pork and so much more! You don't know what you're missing until you try it.

What a lovely location overlooking the lake, and a real large lodge like feeling to the restaurant. Good, attentive service throughout.
Had the 3 meat platter of brisket, pulled pork and smoked Turkey. What can I say. Delicious every mouthful, including excellent fries and sides. Then had the home made smores. Just wow. Perfect comfort eating for a cold winter's day. Awesome.

It looks like just a small icecream shop, but it's much more! You can done in the side dining area or enjoy a table or rocking chair on the porch.
They have a huge menu of food from sandwiches and baskets to fajitas and salads. Of course they have a page of flavored icecream, desserts, and shakes too.
The service is always friendly with huge portions at a reasonable price:D

The service may not be the fastest because they are always busy, so allow for plenty of time. The food is good, with daily specials offered. The booths and dining room fills up quickly in the evenings. The employees work hard, so don't forget to tip

Got a couple of cheeseburgers and a small order of fried mushrooms. The burgers were like you make at home, not your typical "fast food" burger. The fried mushrooms were nothing to write home about, but most from a bag are not. Service was friendly and relatively quick. You could see that this was a place everybody dropped into; so a relaxed, casual atmosphere.

We have been driving through McArthur fo 45 years, and there has always been a dearth of restaurants. In 2014, there must be 12 restaurants in this tiny hamlet.
Kudos to McDonald's for opening a franchise west of "downtown."
Same dependable service and meals. We recommend.
