We fortuitously stumbled into this hole-in-the-wall diner while on the run from Irma. Nothing elegant here...a typical diner...loud and chaotic, with a long counter and numerous plain tables. Staff wear denim and t-shirts. Open 6AM to 2PM, they specialize in breakfast...any kind of breakfast you could want. I happened to have two eggs, three sausage patties, home fries, and two pieces of toast for $6.99. Absolutely delicious. Be prepared to wait for a table.

Honey from the Rock

This place is an upscale cafeteria combined by all the charm and hospitality of your own home. In other words, it could be your 'second kitchen.' If you want fine dining or table service this isn't your place. Rather, it is down-home Southern, Augusta cooking in a cafeteria-style setting that is open during lunch hours. The food, rather than the atmosphere, is the star of this place. All fare is clearly prepared with a lot of love and homemade. Sweets are definitely sweet and you don't want to pass on the array of desserts. The staff is local church folk who treat you like one of their family. If you don't like a heaping dose of 'bless your heart' or 'you're a dear' then you won't like this place. If its good, down-home, finger lickin' Southern cooking you crave then this is your culinary Mecca. The menu varies, chicken, ham, potatoes, and everything fried are all excellent. Being from Atlanta, I found more than a few 'locals' who were more than willing to share a story or experience about the Masters golf tournament and the past players and winners they have met. For a 'scratch golfer' this 'made from scratch' place more than satisfied!

We were celebrating my Son's birthday, he had heard good things about this place and we were not disappointed. All four of us got different entrees and loved them. The beef tenderloin was a very thick cut and done perfectly. The seafood pasta had lots of shrimp, scallops and craw fish throughout and not the typical salad shrimp or puny scallops. My son had the stuffed trout and ate every bit. Make sure you save room for the peanut butter pie. We shared a piece and it was soo yummy.

Lil' Dutch Bakery

The Lil' Dutch Bakery was opened in December, 2002 by a Mennonite family from Wrens, Georgia. Tripp and Denise Allen purchased the bakery in July, 2013. Tripp and Denise continue to serve home cooked food, made from scratch, using the original Mennonite recipes. Tripp and Denise are both served their country in the U.S. Air Force. In September, 2013 Tripp & Denise expanded the bakery which doubled it's size. The goal of the expansion was to use the delicious recipes to make wedding and custom cakes. Additionally, the expanded front end allows the bakery to carry more delicious treats and pre-cooked meals. Tripp and Denise have brought in some of their own family recipes including our delicious cheese straws and cheesecakes Our goal is to serve home cooked food made from scratch. We pride ourselves on superior customer service and want every customer to leave with a smile on their face. In today's fast paced world we want people to still experience the smell of fresh baked bread, and enjoy the food "like Grandma used to make." Even the crumbs are delicious!

Not as good as it had been, Ownership has changed and their baked goods are lacking in taste and freshnessOwnership changed four years ago; not since. We still use the same recipes and ingredients from the original owners and have expanded the selection of goodies that are available.

Abel Brown

Abel Brown is a southern kitchen & oyster bar nestled in Surrey Center in Augusta, Ga. The name, much like our menu, is a nod to and celebration of our blended cultural roots. Authentic, yet refined, our ingredient-driven dishes are prepared and served with thought and respect. We pair clean and modern Southern cuisine with the charm & tradition reserved for high company.

I have never eaten steamed oysters only raw ones. They have a variety of oysters, they tell you how they will taste & the salinity level. They were delicious I had roast pork shoulder with cabbage & onion rings. Everything was fantastic can’t wait til this weekend to try pecan crusted rib eye. Reservations are a must!

Willie Jewell's is just right. The right mix of down-to-earth, with the right amount of down-home southern, and about the best BBQ I've had. Man, that brisket is phenomenal. The sides were pretty good too. Every person in our party of six had something a little different, and every person (three locals and three of us from out of town) all loved the food. The price is right, and the BBQ sauces were delicious. Go here and eat!

By the way, Trip Advisor... these questions you ask... Can a Vegan get a meal at this BBQ place? Heck no. Gluten free? Halal food?

I've visited Giuseppe's on a couple of occasions. Both times I've ordered the shrimp scampi and linguine. It came with a salad that was absolutely delicious! I think they make their own dressing. The shrimp scampi and linguine was sooo good! Shrimp cooked and tossed with linguine in a light sauce (not Alfredo). Very delicious and filling!

We went once during lunch and checked out the buffet but decided we wanted the pasta dish instead.

The wait staff is very friendly and we didn't wait long for our meal. The folks at the counter are just as nice and makes you feel like they really appreciate your business.

I recommend Giuseppe's highly!

Hunan Cafe

Reviewed By pauladc2015 - Beaufort, South Carolina

If I were an hour from Augusta, I'd schedule a road trip every couple of months to eat at this restaurant! I haven't had homemade pot stickers with an awesome meat filling since I ate in Washington D.C.'s Chinatown from 1972-2009. Hunan Cafe's Mushu Pork was not only delicious, but the amount of tender pork to veggies was unlike any I'd ever received. Meals are cooked to order, so plan to call in your takeout or be patient if eating in. The produce is very fresh and they must make their own Hoisin sauce because it does not have the "bite" like store bought. It is smooth and the flavor softly entices your taste buds.
I so enjoyed talking to Sabrina while we waited for our take out. She is very knowledgeable about Augusta and she asked me how her restaurant became my choice for dinner. I told her I searched 5 star rated Asian Cuisine on Trip Advisor for Augusta, GA and she was only a few miles away. Please stop by and tell Sabrina that a lady from SC (during her hurricane Matthew evacuation) highly rated your restaurant on Trip Advisor.

A regular customer here as we have become friends having been eating here since it first opened. Love the gyro wraps and dinner and her own curried chicken recipe. Pizza is great and humongous calzones. Some times short staffed and you may have to wait a little longer if busy but worth the wait. Food is delicious.

I went to Bonefish with a few friends who were in town for dinner and cocktails. Our servers name was Justin and he was very quick to bring drinks and apps. Food was delicious and service was excellent! I recommend getting the saucy topping on their salmon! Out of this world! They also offer weekday specials and bottomless drinks on sundays. Glad to have one in our area.
