Where to Eat in Marbella: The Best Restaurants and Bars

August 1, 2017 Nicolette Lion

In the chic, sun-drenched Costa del Sol town of Marbella, hints of its former Moorish occupation mingle with modern-day resort amenities. Bask on the sands of famous La Fontanilla beach or ricochet among the area's family-oriented water, wildlife and theme parks. Experience the Andalusian charm of the historic quarter, filled with whitewashed buildings, remnants of a ninth-century Arab fortress and fragrant orange trees. End a relaxing day with a dish of the cold almond soup ajoblanco and some of the region's excellent dessert wine.

Small friendly bistro style restaurant located off Orange Square in the Old Town of Marbella. Good food with friendly staff and decent wine available. Reasonably priced and worth a visit. No outdoor dining available however which is a shame in such a great setting for dining Alfresco. Worth a visit if this is your favourite style of food also open on Sundays in The off season which is a plus.

We stopped by to look at the menu on our way to another restaurant. And we decided to have dinner there after all. What a good idea ! Because if you rule out Skina and Messina this is the best restaurant in town. Innovative dishes at a very decent price. Extensive wine list with good sélection of local wineries. And a very friendly service. This is our niciest expérience this year. Recommended !

The kitchen does a first class job here.Try the meat dishes especially the chateaubriand, the quality is amongst the best I've tasted.
The service is functional but not that attentive,we were ignored after the dessert,no one asked if we wanted coffee or drinks,I tried to catch their eye but it was not to be.,after 20 minutes I finally managed to ask for the bill .They offered some house liquors then but it was too late .
I do recommend this place though, whoever the chef is he really knows his business
The bill was about 140 euros for two with three courses and wine - but no coffee!

Hermosa

Hermosa is a Southern Californian style bistro & grill that serves progressive international cuisine. We prepare our dishes using local seasonal and sustainable produce where possible and our menus will often change to accommodate the availability of such ingredients. Our dishes typically fuse the flavors of the old and new world from Tuscany to the Pacific Rim and feature modern interpretations of traditional European, American and Asian dishes. Our menu also features a unique dining experience, 'The Grill', which enables you to comfortably stray from the confines of a traditional A la carte and design a dish that suits you. All of our dishes are freshly prepared and cooked to order, we like to serve fresh food, not fast food. Our setting is relaxed and comfortable. Low key and romantic. We like to call it 'fine-casual' dining.

Why did it take us to the last night to find this restaurant, the food was exceptional. The Tropical Prawn Salad was to die for and the Sea Bass was the best I have ever tasted. Other members of the party had the Duck and Salmon for mains and they were equally over the moon with their dishes. The chefs here really know what they are doing with the combination of ingredients they are using to produce their dishes.

Aragona Cucina Italiana

Chiuso per le ferie fino al 20 Diciembre 2016.

Reviewed By Phillip A - St Florence,, United Kingdom

My wife and I just eat at Aragona (4th Oct 2017). We were convinced by the staff that it was genuine Italian food. IT IS NOT !!!
The Bruscetta starter was the worst we have ever tasted - simply some tomato paste on crispy toast. Even if you decide to dine there please don't choose the Bruscetta.
My wife's main meal of 'genuine' Italian pasta was, in her opinion, the saltiest food she has every tasted. Please be advised that we have live all over Europe ans know our food.
The real pity is that the service was good but the food quality was so unimaginably bad that it ruined our evening.
When are the restaurants in Marbella going to start serving good quality food ? Don't mind spending the money but being served horse manure is not my idea of a good meal.
On the plus side the wine and beer were good.
