The coffe vaca its located in Cayambe city province of Pichincha.This place is very knew in the Ecuador because it is excellent, big and nice for pass pretty moments in family. In this place there food very delicious and your attention is great.The atmosphere is rustic, but clean and homey!
In the last month I went with my family and we passed a day very funny. The menu of the vaca coffe is very variety. in that ocasion we order the famous "Nata" that it's sort a clotted cream very delicious along with famous bizcochos of Cayambe it is a combination perfect for a great day . Also we ordered fresh fruit milkshakes because in this moment it was very hot. in this place also we coulded ride a horse to around of a lagoon small, this experience very good because the horses was meek. you can felt a time of relax. also for the kids there is a childish games and a small shop of clothes. the owners and service staff are afitriones very nice and patients for attend the clients. in this atmosphere you can to breathe fresh air, besides you can to see a view wonderful.also there is green areas for to play football and also for camping.
I recommend this place because here you can enjoy some amazing traditional food, a atmosphere quiet with full details and a atention very nice,you can to reserve at internet o whit only a call for celebrated some social event , to go with family, friends, couple or simply to visit and to know this restaurant.

We were starving and this place was highly recommended. We were welcome to come and choose a table. Drinks were ordered and the some house specialities. All good so far.
Unfortunately as soon as we start eating the tamales, unpleasant taste, we were told that that is the way there are done. We asks them to removed them, and the bad attitude started, they did it. But soon afterwards we're told that three of the plates we ordered were no longer available.
We decided to leave and request the bill for what we consumed and no the tamales. That was an uphill battle and very unpleasant.
We will not return.

The food exceeded my expectations. In this buffet, you have authentic Ecuadorian food, including locro (potato soup), mote with chicharrón (hominy corn and pork skin) and more. The main course is grill barbecue, were you can have different cuts of beef, pork and chicken. Also, you can try a variety of grilled sausages and more exotic meats like tripe. There are also many salads and vegetarian/vegan options. Make sure you try the "queso de hoja" (folded cheese). Prices are good considering all the food you can have and it's quality. You need a car to get there, but if you don't have it you can take a bus to Machachi and once you are there you can pay for a pickup truck to get you to the Restaurant. The view is amazing, with the Andean Mountains in front of you while you eat. There are some activities for kids, and they can see farm animals. If you are looking for an authentic experience with all the elements to enjoy the Ecuadorian highlands, you better make and effort and get over there.

An excellent choice for lunch as we were traveling around Quito. We had some of the local foods/soups, tenderloin with eggs and a cheese burger. All the food was very good and plentiful.

Good place to stop for lunch or dinner on Autopista Panamericana. The restaurant is right on the highway just minutes outside of Machachi. Offers a good selection of puzza's and dinner entrees. Good service. Good food. Reasonable prices. Would definitely eat there again.
