We love this local family owned Dairy Queen. From the way the place is packed especially on Friday and Saturday nights, so do a great many other locals. If you have a dog, sit outside under the umbrellas and your pooch will get his own pup-cup of ice cream for free. They have great burgers, fries and chili, cheese and slaw dogs. Of course plenty of frozen treats. I recommend the foot long loaded down with everything. Just make sure you are hungry.

Hey Texans who are fans of Buc-ee's for pitstops, food, fuel and gifts. Definitely stop here. Includes all of this with a Burger King and Dunkin Donuts too. Don't let the size fool you, this store is small compared to our favorite beaver's mega stores, but the charm, friendly service and selections are truly great! And the bathrooms meet Buc-ee's standards!

Great southern hospitality and great food. We were on a trip looking at property and found this cafe on TripAdvisor. We tried the fried pickles as an appetizer and they were fantastic. Grits seasoned to perfection and nobody at a bad meal. Would highly recommend going if you want true southern food.

Drove the extra mile to get here whilst camping at Stephen Foster State Park RV Campground. Definitely worth the trip. Excellent food, excellent service in a charming old building with lots of character. Service may take a little longer than your average chain, but we never have a clock to punch and like to take more time with our food and enjoy our surroundings. Servings are way over the top for the average appetite, so be a little careful when ordering. After a couple of appetizers we were almost full so ended up skipping the main and just going for the dessert!

Had breakfast here while in town for a wedding at the advice of the groom. It’s a typical small town greasy spoon. Sadly, I was disappointed with the service, food quality and cost. My bill alone was $17 without tip for an underwhelming meal. Menu stated $8 for the belt buster...I was up-charged for things that were advertised/included in description (shredded potato) AND for cheese that I asked server to exclude. While pancakes were big, they didn’t taste fresh plus the texture wasn’t fluffy - like they were old and put on a skillet (again).

If ever in this town for breakfast/brunch, consult Yep for a better option.

We went there for valentines day while on a trip. We ordered steak and shrimp with several shushi rolls. The shushi was ok , nothing to write home about.. The steak and shrimp came out with a spoonful of cooked veggies. It was cold. There were maybe 12 very small, 1/2 in pieces or smaller in size . When i complained the meal was cold they took it back and nuked it. Needless to say the medium rare meat turned to rubber as did the 4 pieces of shrimp. They were not that busy not to cook more but i ended up with a TV dinner out of the microwave. The service was marginal at best so go to hop sings chinese next door.. I am sure it is better.

Passing thru this northern part of Fla., I thought Oriental cuisine would be nice for a change. The Concept of a Chines / Southern Comfort food buffet is a new one. Inside the arrangement was readily buffet format. However, lacking were any decor of an oriental restaurant, in fact no decor...period. The food was limited to a short options in both Oriental and Southern...while the desert / salad bar took up one of the three servings areas. The cooks appeared to be of Hispanic descent, the waitress was an Afro-american. The cashier and waitress were the only oriental personnel. Now as for the food....average, nothing to rave about or place this on your radar. The price for lunch, with an ice tea, will set you back $10.50. Standard pricing for oriental lunch buffets.
