Watersview Restaurant

NOTE - THE MENU LISTED BELOW IS NOT OUR CURRRENT MENU - WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. Watersview Restaurant is Lake Gaston's Premiere Lakefront Dining Experience. We offer a wide range menu of steak, seafood, chicken and pasta dishes. We have weekly features with specially prepared meals from our chef and highly skilled culinary team. Our restaurant is located on Lake Gaston and every seat in our dining room offers a gorgeous view of the lake. We offer weekend entertainment. We have a spacious banquet room for private events.

We had just bought Linda a new Ford Explorer and wanted a road day trip one July Sunday afternoon and somehow ended up at the Watersview Restaurant on Lake Gaston. What a beautiful, warm and inviting setting up over Lake Gaston.

We both were amazed at the ambience of the waterfront eatery. Our server, Samantha O’Neill could not have been better, save the fact that she probably had a table or two too many. The GM, Brooke Clary and the Chef Ryan Grimm are on their “A” game.

We both decided on seafood entrees and mine with the fresh seafood on penne pasta with some special sauce was scrumptious!

You can go by car or by boat as the restaurant has dock space below and there’s a neighboring marina. Watersview is just special enough to warrant a day drive, but go in the daytime so you can absorb all the boats and beautiful water. You can dine inside as we did, or outside on several levels.

Our family of four just enjoyed a nice dinner at Kennon House. We were glad to have reservations as the restaurant quickly filled up around 6:30. (Friday night). We had a pleasant experience with the host and our waitress was okay. As another reviewer noted, they are not In a hurry to get you out the door so plan to have a leisurely pace. Two of us ordered prime rib special and got a huge slab of meat. We also shared a delicious slice of coconut cake for dessert. One slice easily served four! All in all, a nice treat in a very quiet area. If we return to Lake Gaston, we'd eat here again.

There isn't much to offer in the area especially after dark. That doesn't mean that the wait staff isn't attentive or that the food is bad. The Spaghetti with meat sauce is excellent. The side salad is a generous portion. The pizza is crisp and flavorful. Don't order less popular items without asking if they are frozen. This is the kind of place that locals gather.

Whether you're enjoying Lake Gaston, Kerr Lake, or cruising I-85, Robinson Ferry Restaurant and Spirits is worth the drive! We offer a great selection of top quality steak, seafood, pasta, appetizers, a full bar rivaling big city selection with a focus of bourbon whiskey and craft cocktails, rotating craft beer selection, and 10 wines for $20/bottle.

This is a gem in rural North Carolina. Robinson Ferry's food is absolutely fantastic, menu selection large, rotating menu, the drinks are well crafted and original, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The service can be very slow at times, but the staff is pleasant. The owners do a wonderful job of making their presence known and you can tell they truly have a passion for food and customer satisfaction. While the selection of dining options around Warrenton is limited, there is no need because Ferry can satiate any diner's taste from unique fish dishes, awesome burgers, and the southern staples.

Family-owned Southern BBQ restaurant serving Turkey and pork barbeque, fried chicken, various sides including green beans and hush puppies. Great hush puppies as well.

Absolutely one of the best barbecue places around - a locals place definitely. Pork, chicken, Turkey - take your pick, and the best potato salad and coleslaw around. One of my mandatory places to eat when down at Lake Gaston.

This is the place to go for some of the best ice-cream at the lake. They always have many flavors to choose from and it's always hard to decide. My daughter loves their mini banana split (which is not that mini...it's a pretty good size.) You definitely get your money's worth. The owner is SUPER nice and his children work with him. He has great staff and they always look like they enjoy their jobs. I hope that he never closes.....It's the place to go for Ice Cream on a hot sumer day (or any day to be honest.)

Good service early in the morning while traveling from "Kiera". I ordered one of Denny's Skillets - the Santa Fe, which was very good. I also like more spice so I got a side of Salsa. The Skillets are around $10+, some a little less, some more. They only come with just the "skillet", no toast or any other side. Good stop right off the highway with a tasty bite to continue my long day of driving. The restaurants "auto tip" credit card machine at the counter should go higher than 22% without so many other steps. People like me want to tip at least 33% & above for good service! You are cheating your employees out of higher gratuities they could be earning from customers. Seems that I have encountered other credit card systems like this with higher limits for leaving tips along my numerous travels. Again, Kiera was excellent & I wish Trip Adivsor had all the "real" towns listed because this place is NOT really that near the coast, but it was all I had to choose from in order to get them listed.

We went for Saturday breakfast. It was pricey for waffle or eggs, with toast and bacon. Nice thick waffle but still simple. Nothing special here. The atmosphere is nice for an old house converted to a snack bar with seating. We'll go back but no time soon. The servers are very engaging and friendly. But for the money, you'd be better off buying gas to go into Rapids for Waffle House. There wasn't anything to justify the cost.

We rode over there today by boat to have lunch in the expanded waterfront restaurant. Pulled into a slip, got a window table, and Jodi arrived. She was pleasant helpful, pretty cute, and was really working to make our lunch experience a good one. We both decided that hot dogs and onion rings would be the perfect luncheon treat. Jodi soon had our lunch delivered, and also brought me a copy of the dinner menu, to see what's available in the evenings. Altogether good experience--good food, good service, nice venue, attractive and attentive waitress, and a fair price. Will be returning, and asking for Jodi to be our waitress again.
