Lunch with friends. The quality of food was excellent. We all ate different things for our 3 courses and everything was fine.
None of us were drinking alcohol and we were given a bottle of tap water which was topped up as needed without having to ask.
An excellent eatery - we’ve already booked for next month

Me & my family visited this cafe for a nice breakfast to set us up for a busy day. We all had a very warm welcome, the food was absolutely beautiful and nothing was too much trouble. High quality ingredients & high level of service = good times. Would definitely return in the future. Highly recommended. Many thanks Mr & Mrs Mills

Not knowing the area & meeting up with my brother for his birthday, I used trip advisor to help, now for some reason 812 people have either got low standards or no taste buds. This Indian is highly rated and we were all not sure why, it has a squashed over seated area, drinks are served in horrid cheap glasses, my g&t the worst one I’ve had out with hardly any ice. We kind of realised our mistake by the people in there (greedy) as the portions are silly big & the serving dishes equally as big, the chef obviously likes to use food colouring too as my nephews tikka masala was bright pink ! The food is presented badly the side salad on the starters wasn’t worth being on there as no care or attention was put into how the dish looked. Plus side the staff of overly polite, probably making up for the sub standard food. So on this occasion don’t believe the hype.

Recently moved to the area and was recommended pizza by goli and was not disappointed, the food was superb and cooked freshly in front of us, waiting staff were friendly and attentive and we will definitely be back.

We’ve eaten here over the years and generally been pleased however like many restaurants there are things to keep in mind.
We had an excellent meal this week (Wednesday) with freshly prepared food and good service. From this the restaurant deserves the 5 star rating given.
If however you visit at the weekend then you need to be prepared for delays as the demand for good Indian food creates this backlog.

Visited today with work colleagues as a final lunch to say goodbye as I'm leaving the organisation. Thai is one of my fave cuisines but I find it difficult to find a good one.
I enjoyed everything we had here and the beef massaman was great. We paid just £24 a head which was a bargain for the amount of food we had.
The restaurant wasn't very busy but neither was the town centre so don't think that was a reflection of the place itself. Service was great, would definitely recommend

Thank goodness we booked because this restaurant is so popular and I now know why!
The food was amazing!
There was 5 of us in our group and we had 'set menu B' at £22.95.
The starters were a mixed platter of prawns, spring roll, sesame toast, sticky ribs and chicken skewers served with salad and dips.
The mains were king prawns with cashew nuts, duck and ginger, beef red curry and chicken red curry, a complimentary pad Thai noodles and 5 portions of a mixture of egg fried rice and jasmine rice.
The food was very fresh, plentiful and extremely well presented.
We had an great evening and although the restaurant was very busy the staff were very attentive and our food was served in a reasonable time.
We considered this meal as the best Thai food we have ever had.

A very warm welcome and shown to our table promptly, where we waited to be joined by friends. The Restaurant was busy and acoustics made it difficult for conversation, the wait for drinks was too long in my opinion taking nearly 15 minutes. Table service left a little to be desired, as cutlery had to be requested for the main course and then the Knives arrived without forks which arrived with another waitress. The desert arrived and again cutlery was an issue as a bent serving spoon and larges dessert spoons were provided to eat the Crème Brule, the waiter was polite and apologetic.
The food was very nice and a good standard. However, i was informed that there were no dauphinoise potatoes and therefore chose an alternative. The dishes were served up and we were all enjoying them when my wife’s potatoes arrived with an apology.
Great location, friendly staff, Good food but the service let the experience down, perhaps we hit a particularly busy night. However, whilst not the most expensive restaurant we have dined in the bill was £168 for four people which was good value. It was a pity the basics seemed to be missing.

I have eaten here many times but have never experienced such poor service as last Saturday . We were a group of 7 and had pre - ordered so the food came reasonably quickly. However, the lack of attention from the waiting staff was a real issue - for example, two of us had the burger but were not offered any accompaniments - it then took ages to attract a waiters attention to ask for vinegar for the chips and mayo /sauces. The burger itself was shrunken and overcooked.
Not once during any of the courses did anyone come to the table to ask if the meals were OK or if we needed anything else.
The sense of being ignored came to a head when we were trying to get the bill - the staff have perfected the art of avoiding eye contact !
When the bill eventually came, they had failed to take off the £50 deposit that had been paid (not the first time this has happened when I have been there with a different group). One person paid their share by card and we then all put in cash for the balance and a modest (not really deserved) tip. Once again, the staff were too busy chatting to each other to return to collect the payment from our table, so we left it at the desk and went out. The final nail in the coffin of appalling service was while we were saying our goodbyes outside, a waitress rushed out to say we hadn't paid enough - they hadn't linked up the card payment! Really embarrassing that other customers would have seen this exchange and assumed we had underpaid and no apology from the staff member, just 'Oh, OK ' when we explained .
Needless to say that after years of eating here and recommending it to others, I won't be rushing to go back.

Went here one Sunday dinnertime for a Sandwich and a pot of tea. Nice place next to the Cathedral. My girlfriend had a ham and brie Sandwich which looked lovely with nice chunky ham. I had egg which was excellent as well. Probably try a full meal next time. A real bug bear of mine is when you order a pot of tea and don't get extra water but here you do get lots of extra water. The cakes also looked nice. will return soon.
