The best restaurant in La Paloma. "Mejillones Hawaii" highly recomended. Easy to park around. Family business. Sea food. International food. Glass of wine welcome always.

This place doesn't look fancy but the board on the street hints at the great food for a great price that is contains. We had the rack of lamb and we will be back!

We went there hoping it would be a nice place to have some drinks and eat something while watching the sunset. So, we ordered beer and caipirinha, both great. Some crab and fries, both tasty, yet expensive. Sunset; check. Fresh air:check. The issue was that the service is by far the worst in La Paloma. The waitress tought he was doing us a favour or something. It was painfully slow, unattentive, plain rude when dropping things off compared to other places. They just left me waiting for my order for 20 minutes after dropping my boyfriend's order, and did not clarify what was going on. It was like being back in Montevideo, basically. The plan was to stick around for a couple hours, but thankfully ,after an hour we decided to leave Punto Sur and finish our evening in a small place with the nicest waitress ever.

Awesome place. I had a pear daiquiri, then an apple daiquiri, and a great seafood salad. The shrimp good the biggest I have seen, everything looked fresh. The waitress was very nice and made our experience even better. A nice place to hang for a couple of hours , drink a cold daiquiri or beer, and try awesome desserts

This is a must visit place if you enjoy quality food in a relaxed, cozy beach atmosphere, and of course expect good value for your money.
Dishes are clever, tasty, fresh and well presented in an attractive manner. Size of servings is generous as well.
Local typical ingredients are found with an interesting and contemporary twist.
Drinks are also very well made and fresh.
You can take a dip in the swimming pool during your stay at the restaurant, so it makes it a different, appealing option for warm weather and particularly during the daytime (note that the pool cannot be used between 14:00 to 16:00, so that the hotel guests facing the pool can have a quite rest).
Deserts are also worth trying.
Facilities are in the open air, under a neat typical Straw and log roof structure, facing the garden and swimming pool, so I would recommend your visiting the place in fine weather and avoid wet or cool days.
All in all, I think it´s the best restaurant you can find nowadays in La Paloma.

It is a traditional and popular restaurant in the main street of La Paloma. Has a wide menu with many options and friendly service. It is not a refined or sophisticated restaurant, but basic and simple, according with the typical local environment of La Paloma. The food was good and the price reasonable, considering the country´s standards.

We went there as soon as we arrived to La Paloma, and It was great! The service was perfect, amazing waitress , the guy went above and beyond expectations. Food was the best I have had in La Paloma, the best "pasta with seafood"(pasta con frutos del mar) ever. We drank beer, which was cold , thankfully. For dessert we tried homemade lemon pie and chocolate mousse, by far the best lemon pie I have tried. It was the perfect start for our vacation.

Las Rocas Resto is a small restaurant located in the main street of La Paloma just opposite the casino. After our first summer season we are well recognized for our handmade pasta, delicious south american meat and our fresh local fish. Our clients have been coming back over and over and we are always glad to welcome them with the biggest smile! For those who would like to adventure the cold winter in the uruguayan coast and have a nice meal by the fireplace, we're open all year round!

Excelente combinación entre la arquitectura, la decoración y el mar.
La comida es muy buena, pero los platos no los sirven con lo que describen en la carta.
Tampoco tienen claro qué vinos tienen y los precios de los mismos.
Muy lindo el entorno pero como restorán tienen mucho para mejorar.
