Consistently excellent meat quality, great side dishes like negi oroshi. Additionally very friendly service, been a loyal customer for years and never been disappointed

ショップは国分寺に２カ所あります。国分寺駅ビル１Ｆの奥にショップが一カ所、国分寺駅南口から殿ヶ谷戸庭園の前を通り過ぎて徒歩３分の交差点のところにカフェ併設店が一カ所あります。（つぶれてなければ確か、立川駅の駅中ショップもあったような）。
パンはどれもはずれのない美味しさです。手土産にはスコーンをおススメします。クリスマスシーズンだと５～６個ほど入るスコーン専用の箱があり、手土産にとても喜ばれます。

There exists a legendary Ramen shop in Fukushima, Japan, called Tora Shokudo. They created a genre of Ramen known as the Shirokawa Ramen.
Obviously if you don't live in Shirokawa, Fukushima, it is a bit far to go just for a bowl of Ramen.
But if you live or are visiting Tokyo and want to try out Shirokawa Ramen, this is the place.
Trained at the original Tora Shokudo in Fukushima,
this Ramen shop is located in Tokyo.
Car park available. No smoking. Spacy, clean interior.
Hoping to visit with my wife in the near future.

I bought a Sandwich at a small stall in a shopping mall in Kichijoji. I didn't eat lunch at noon, so I was looking for some food to eat quickly. We choose a pack of three sandwiches, and there were a egg-sand, a Katsu-sand and a fruit-sand inside the package. Price was about 600 yen, it wasn't affordable but I felt worthy. Because I ate those sandwiches as appetizers, main and dessert.
Sandwiches were made of natural ingredients, and I didn't feel synthetic seasonings and flavorings. It was a bit pricey compared to the Sandwich in a convenience store, but those sandwiches were made at sincerely polite. It's worth eating.

THE FOOD
We ordered Tonkatsu (a traditional deep-fried pork cutlet), it came on a plate with finely cut cabbage, a tomato, parsley and sauce and what seemed like english mustard. The side dishes it comes with are a bowl of white rice, miso soup and a pickled raddish and cucumber.
The food tasted great, my girlfriend (from a restaurant family) liked their Tonkatsu alot.
Green tea was provided, and we also ordered a bottle of Sake (Nihonshu - it tasted so-so), it came with sumami (cooked seaweed strands).
VALUE:
The menu is in Japanese, but roughly I think it said Tonkatsu was 1500Yen. Beer was 600Yen, though we ordered Sake. Our total bill for the two of us was 3700 Yen.
THE SERVICE:
This was great, the old couple working their were very polite and warm, constantly providing us with extra hot towels and green tea when we were running low. Even offering me extra salad when I finished my first helping, which I gladly accepted.
APPEARANCE:
It is a small narrow restaurant on the main street, easily missed as it is not overly bold from the outside. The front of the restaurant is of a modern take on traditional Japanese screen doors, but is easily missed if you can't read Kana. The sign for the restaurant is written in large white Kana characters on a black background and can be viewed from the road side, either: とんき(hiragana)トンキ(katakana), I can't remember which.
Inside there are two options for Seating, either in the back with a more traditional tatami matted room, with Seating upon zabuton cushions. We chose to sit at the white counter, where the food is cooked in front of you.
The restaurant looked like new; it was very clean.
The atmosphere was quiet due to there only being a few other couples dining when we went (Friday 7pm), but was pleasant.

にんにくの利いたがっつり系の豚丼であるスタ丼はたまに食べたくなる魅力があります。
テイクアウトにすると生卵が半熟卵になるのがまた嬉しいところです。

国分寺駅から徒歩5分ほどのところにあるカレー店。どろっとしたシチューのような欧州カレーなので、辛いのが苦手でも大丈夫です。種類も多く、結構工夫している感じがしました。メニューの中にはちょっと疑問のつくものもありましたが、ハンバーグカレーをおいしくいただきました。

個室料なしで個室が使え、安くてお料理もそこそこ美味しいので、毎年、宴会に使います。集合までの待合コーナーが夜景のきれいなカウンター席なのも、飲み会メンバーには好評です。
