Where to Eat in Knin: The Best Restaurants and Bars

December 10, 2017 Sachiko Swiger

Knin (pronounced [knîːn]) is a city in the Šibenik-Knin County of Croatia, located in the Dalmatian hinterland near the source of the river Krka, an important traffic junction on the rail and road routes between Zagreb and Split. Knin rose to prominence twice in history, as the capital of both the medieval Kingdom of Croatia and, briefly, of the self-proclaimed Republic of Serbian Krajina from 1991 to 1995.

Babalu is one of the most beautiful restaurant in Croatia I have ever been.Nature and the view from the Terrace is magnificant. The owners Luisa and Ivo are really friendly and nice people. They have high quality fish, shells and really nice scampi buzara. Whenever we go to Potkucina bay we cant wait to go there.Music in the bar is also really nice and relaxing. Waiters are always smiling and they care about everything you need. This place is paradise :)

Place is great, view is spectacular and unfortunately there is every good thing about the restaurant. Service is unfriendly and slow, tough food came fast. Unfortunately it was not a good thing tough food were risotto and everybody who has made one knows it can not be probely prepared in 5 minutes. Prices are very reasonable but food is home made class.

This place is horrible, feels like in some B class horror movies. Whole place stinks of death, young lambs are being slaughtered and baked like in Middle Ages all day and night long.

Kafe Bar Palma

A stopover for afternoon snacks en route to further south to join up with some motorcycling friends.
Snacks were freshly made up and salads good. Coffee and pastries were enjoyed by those that ate them. Sat outside and whiled away an hour or so.
Service was friendly and engaged.
The location isn't for views but on the upside there were many locals also lunching there so prices were also moderate for budget conscious travellers.
There were no negatives and it was a decent place to eat and watch what was going past.
