We stopped twice at Kieler Brauerei, sitting outside the first night and inside the next. The beer is excellent, the food equally good. I have an asthma-like reaction to smokers, and there were a few outside, so the second visit we sat inside, but again,...MoreMoin earthsinger! Thank you very much for your rating! Our Block House restaurant is on Asmus-Bremer-Platz, which is right by Holstenstraße. With its cosy bar area, it's the ideal place to meet for a business lunch or for a wonderful evening with family and friends.
Went for dinner with my wife on her first visit to Kiel. We were not disappointed. Steak was great. The side of grattin was to die for. Salad with American dressing was good. For dessert of recommend the cheese cake.

Nice ordfashioned place. We had today's lunch (turkey) which was very tasty. Such a large place with so many tables should have more waiters than those few working that day, though. We had to wait a little too long to be really content.

This well appointed restaurant on Holtenhauer Str., one of Kiels main shopping and dining streets, is very worthwile a visit. The chef himself served our delicious light dinner and was always ready to give advise and informations on his cuisine. The good Grauburgunder from Baden and the draught beer from a small brewery my daughter had added to the success of the dinner.

we didn't go for the hottest possible options. we both had curries--i had massaman curry with chicken and my partner had panang curry with tofu. the portions were way too much to eat and for once we broke german custom since we saw them preparing food to be picked up, and asked if they could give us the rest, to go. so we also had a delicious lunch the next day.

The modern restaurant PIER 16 offers with its glass front a view on the hustle and bustle in the city centre and the piers. Savour freshly prepared and seasonal northern German specialties in a very special atmosphere.
We went in here for dinner because a good revue on tripadvisor.... This place need to take them self in the neck. If the staff read this please look at all your guest as a new guest. The girls was nice but the big guy was just grumpy. The lamb was baked in to to much bread. So guys lift your self up again to my next time...

Great stop for lunch when in Kiel. Easy to find, just off the main pedestrian street, it's a typical German kneipe, popular with locals and tourists. Good food from a typical German menu. Prices are good. Outdoor Seating for dining in good weather. Many German beers to choose from.

In a small city like Kiel, it can be difficult to find a good and authentic Japanese/Korean restaurant. We often patronize Ann whenever we need a good Japanese/Korean fix. Their Bimbimbab is popular so are the variety of sushi and sashimi. If one is planning to visit on a weekend, be sure to make a reservation way ahead.
