A small group of friends and I just ate at Restoratsiya Shpigelya and I was blown away by the experience! The restaurant was a beautiful place to sit and enjoy our meal. It's a well-preserved early 1900s interior with very interesting artwork depicting local landmarks.
Our servers were great as well. They were attentive and very friendly. They helped us all along as we ordered, some of us in Ukrainian and some of us in English.
As for the food, it was some of the best that I've had in Ukraine. My young cabbage and buckwheat dumplings with squash/pumpkin mousse were amazing. My main course of Turkey fillet with mushrooms was delicious as well, maybe the best Turkey I've had in recent memory.
I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. It was a great experience and I hope to go back soon!

We went to Ankara for a lunch. Overall impression - very good food, excellent flavours, VERY large portions, polite service, affordable prices.
We ordered some salads, flat breads and their meat platter to taste a range of different pieces. Everything turned out to be very good, flavourful and fresh. The portions are enormous, we could not finish everything. The wine was decent too. The service was efficient, polite and quick.
Our only complain is the ambiance of the place and its location. For someone out of town, the place it hard to find, I would think most tourists don't even know about this place. Interior needs updating - it's too outdated, those fabric panels on the ceiling need to go, they don't fit into the restaurant. This place could be so much more if it was not for location and décor because the food is really good and worth trying it.

the place is very cosy - a mix of provence and chubby chick. polite staff, nice atmosphere, amazingly comfortable places near the windows.
we ate only sweets, but the pictures of lunches and breakfasts on the menu looked great. the cakes are soo good, it's hard to stop from trying all of them. we also liked their herbal tea very much. but most of all we liked the prices. 2 huge Deserts with teas and some extras in 2015 cost about $3-4

Our friends took us out for dinner to this place on our visit to Ukraine in May. The restaurant has a weird layout and doesn't create a relaxing comfortable ambiance even though it offers lots of space. The place is very popular with locals not sure why and was packed that night. The service was acceptable, but nothing "above and beyond". The menu looked quite uninspiring - presenting the same array of dishes available in any other Khmelnytsky restaurant. But the quality of food was just average. Being a group of seven, we got to taste a variety of different dishes and they were all quite average, too salty, lacking flavours and poorly presented. To top it up - the wine we ordered was not good either even though we went with a safe choice from Priorat. The prices are rather on a high end for what you get. There are much better places to enjoy a meal in the city - cross this one out.

Modest, but an exclusive list of dishes will please the gourmet surprises and unexpected combinations of flavors. Very nice restaurant and coffee place in the middle of the city. We had dinner twice with our big family and really enjoyed the fantastic food. Not only is the food very good, but also the style of presentation.
They are famous for the grilled meet and vegetables platers.
During our stay in the city we enjoy a cup of tea in the afternoon together with some of the excellent cakes or sandwiches.

Familya is one of the best restaurants I've been to in Khmelnytskyi and also one of the best restaurants I've been to in Ukraine. The food is amazing, the staff are awesome, and the restaurant itself is a wonderful place to spend an evening with friends or family.
The food is multinational. As is common in Ukraine, there is sushi in addition to European fare. On my visits I have had chicken and Turkey dishes that were 100% delicious. Desserts are also amazing, especially the ginger creme brulee. For carnivores, the steak at Familya is also very good.
Servers are very friendly and attentive. If you don't speak Ukrainian or Russian, they are still happy to help you. Additionally, menus are multilingual if your Cyrillic Reading skills are rusty.
When looking for Familya, remember that it is just a little bit off of the main street but not far at all. Just trust the address here and you will find it!
