Central Lodge Keetmanshoop Restaurant in January
Overall: nice lunch stop on the way to Fish River Canyon. Reception staff are not overly friendly.
Decor: restaurant is located in town and is part of the main hotel. It is very German in feel. Pine wooden chairs and pine ceiling.
Food:
Casual a la carte menu. We had T-bone steak, rump steak and oryx steak. They were all served on large skillet platters and served with chips and vegetables. Very tasty.
Wifi: yes
Helpful hint: bring hand soap for the bathroom.

My family (4 Adults and 1 Child) enjoyed a wonder lunch on the outside veranda of this wonder hotel, located about 40 km west of Keetmanshoop on the Luderitz road. The food was excellent, the beer cold and crisp, the service efficient and friendly and the view wonderful, a must see for any person holidaying in southern Namibia.

Our first night dining there I had the chicken schnitzel which was extremely tough and dry and the chips were over cooked and over spiced skinny fries. The second time we dined there, our neighbors an elderly French couple joined us. They ordered lambs chops which were inedible. I ordered fish ... which was edible but had no taste. The owner removed the lamb chops from our bill. My husband had the eisbein (pork knuckle) which was also very average. The crackling was tough and chewy, not crispy and could not be cut through.

Servizio cortese

The pizza was melted and fused to the cardboard box it came in. The crust was so limp and wet as if it were not even cooked. Food was not fit to eat.
