Kanab (/kəˈnæb/ kə-NAB) is a city in and the county seat of Kane County, Utah, United States. It is located on Kanab Creek just north of the Arizona state line. This area was first settled in 1864 and the town was founded in 1870 when ten Mormon families moved into the area. The population was 4,312 at the 2010 census.

Wandered in here with 2 young kids, looking for a map and was greater by a delightful young clerk who was very friendly and attentive to the children. They have anything you could possibly need for outside activities or travel. A definite place to visit in Kanab.

We loved everything we ordered here! The swordfish, the shrimp fried rice, the Brie, the avocado toast, and the filet! It is absolutely the finest eating establishment in Kanab, with an experienced and talented chef & team! We enjoyed the indoor atmosphere as well as the outdoor ambiance. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and Dava was a great server to make our night complete.

I loved this place. I am a pharmacist, and remember when every pharmacy had a soda counter, and you could meet friends there for a shake. Napkins were used for note cards and many telephone numbers was exchanged .
This eatery took me back in time,not to mention that the ice cream was delicious and the portions were huge. We sat outside in the early evening, and although it is on a busy street, we enjoyed the atmosphere.

Stopped in for brunch. Simply amazing. The array of baked good options made me crazy. When they say truly artisan quality, these folks are serious. My ‘Good Morning’ with bison-chipotle sausage was heavenly. The pain au chocolat fantastic treat absolutely topped off my meal.

We went to just grab a pastry at 8 am. The lady was putting out warm bagels. Smelled great. Then she opened her mouth. Told my husband to move over by the display - she was distracted putting out her goods. She would be ready to take our order in a few minutes. We were only ones there. She acted like we were unwelcome intruders. Barely spoke. Made no eye contact. I didn't even want anything. We just each got a bagel to go and beat it out of there before she ran us off. Terrible customer "service." Pretty bland bagel too. Don't go there!

Wild Thyme Cafe grows much of our produce using organic methods. We offer high quality beef, fish, vegetarian and vegan food. Some entrees are gluten free. We serve wine, beer and various spirits as well as espresso drinks. House made desserts are the finest, featuring Belgian Chocolate Silk Pie and a vegan, gluten free chocolate mousse. The dessert menu changes with the seasons: might be strawberry angle cake or apple crisp. All made in small batches. Our patio is dog-friendly.

This is probably the most up-scale eating I experienced in Kanab. Those who drink wine enjoyed their wine and said it was high quality. The food was excellent. This is probably the highest-priced food in Kanab (not entirely certain of this), but is also very good.

We set out to create a fun place to eat great food, served by really friendly people, in a relaxifying atmosphere, surrounded by cool art & good music. Simple. We want our place to be a spot where you can come and have a wonderful time after a fantastic day of hiking, a long day of driving, or a lazy, waste-lots-of-time-doing-nothin' day & find an oasis of enjoyment for your senses. There's a reason we don't have WiFi. Chill. Exhale. Sit. Listen. Look around. Power down. Kill the phone. Stow the tablet. Talk to the people you're dining with. Talk to the people sitting next to you. Enjoy your meal. Don't rush.(Unless you've been at the table for three hours, then you need to: eat it & beat it!. And no, we don't mean eat the table, that would take a long time and the splinters are hard to digest). Smile.

We walked into this restaurant, guided by reviews, yet with mixed expectations - looked like a bar convert from the outside. What we got was food beyond expected, and excellent service.
The atmosphere was casual, very southwest - understated. All the food we received - the soup, appetizers, and the main dish was great. We were a group of 10, hence had the opportunity to see each other's food also, and all were great.
I would however insist that IF you eat meat, you SHOULD try the bison! It is kinda pricey, but since you can not have bison in most places, to have it prepared this good is even more rare! The soups were delicious also.
The most remarkable was the service - one person in our group ordered a dish she was not expecting to be what it turned out, and when she mentioned it to the waitress - regardless of the fact that they had already started eating it - the waitress without hesitation asked her to select another dish, and left the prior one and brought in the new one. - This is expected behavior in restaurants with Great service - the dishes are pricey - but very pleasing when you get it at Kanab!
All in group were delighted with the food and the service at the end of the day - I would go there in a heartbeat!

This is some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten and I live on the border of Arizona and Mexico. . The salsa is amazing and the fish tacos are out of this world. The food complimented the speedy and friendly service. Don't miss this lovely place.

This was our third visit here. This time we ate downstairs in the restaurant. Jessica took care of us. We tried the blue corn salad, vegetable linguini with shrimp, and ribeye steak. Everything was phenomenal. Will return for a fourth visit. Maybe check out the sports bar. We have heard great thanks nag about it from our friends

Not very organized. Most seating in a tent structure. They had heaters but they were not on. We asked if heaters could be turned on. After freezing for another 20 minutes I turned on heaters myself. Finally ordered food, waited 30 minutes and half our party got their meals. She asked about the rest and apparently they missed the other 3 meals. After another 20 minutes 3 of us left to find food somewhere else. Also we did not realize this was a strictly Vegan establishment which would of been fine but our meals were never served. Sego is the best restaurant by far in Kanab.
