KTW Park Restaurant

We were in Kalisz for meetings at Adam Mickiewicz University. In the evening we left the university campus and walked several blocks, passing the opera house and a body of water with a Fountain, ending up at Restauracja KTW – Restauracje Matuszczak, a traditional Polish restaurant that has been in operation since 1947. We were seated at a large table in the basement, which had been beautifully restored; the old brick ceilings had been retained. The service was friendly and helpful and the food was exceptionally good. I started with a bowl of goulash soup – more like a vegetable beef soup – followed by three veal medallions, each with a different sauce, accompanied with rice and a salad, all washed down with a large glass of Zywiec, Poland's best beer. There were ten people in our party and all were served at the same time. I'd return to this restaurant.

Very good italian cusine. This is the only place in Kalisz where you can be sure that what you order is tasteful and freshly prepared for you. It is overpriced but they know that they don't have real comptetition in the city and around it. If you want to eat out in Kalisz it must be Roma.

Nice downtown bistro serving breakfast lunch and dinner. various dishes, including pastas, appetizers, soups, sandwiches. We serve wine and beer. Large dessert menu.

This is, no doubt, the nicest place in town for nice lunch or yummy dinner. It is not a formal place, bistro style but the chef is good preparing sime pastas, salads, sandwiches. They have a nice carpaccio and a daily soup. Service and decir r fine. Coild improve their wine list but nothing is perfect after all. Highly recommend!

Very cosy café/restaurant which I visited a few times this summer. Even if it was for some drink, a salad or some pasta, each time I enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere around it. The food is genuine and homemade. The prices are adequate. It’s also a dog-friendly place. Not only are the animals allowed but the waitress even asks if she could bring some water, so it is really nice! Moreover, it was a restaurant where I could eat something hot after 9.30 pm wheareas in another place they refused to take my order saying it's too late...

I've had late lunch there and few glasses of whisky. The food wasn't great, but they have had some single malts which are not available in any other bar in Kalisz. I guess that would be the only one reason to visit them! The service - well, it's hard to expect young girls to know much about whiskies!
