My first trip to this wonderful tearoom in the Classy Cactus Antique Mall - small and cozy, only 8 tables. The sampler plate was one of the best I've had. Wide variety of fruit - blueberries (!), blackberries (!), watermelon, strawberries, bananas, cantaloupe, grapes, pineapple with great poppyseed dressing. Scrumptious tomato basil soup, quiche, and chicken salad. I think the crackers might have been Mr. Cracker flaxseed - not your usual run of the mill cracker. And they have Truvia - not many restaurants anywhere offer a natural stevia substitute. Only drawback was that it appeared only one lady was doing it all so service was slow. She was polite and apologetic. HOWEVER, I was in no rush and particularly after discovering how scrumptious the food was, I didn't mind the wait. Took off one star for the staffing. But don't worry, I'll definitely be back and bring girlfriends next time.

Babe's Chicken Dinner House

Have you ever told your family what you’d do different if you opened a restaurant? Well, that’s exactly why we opened Babe’s Chicken Dinner House. We wanted a sit-down restaurant where people really feel at home. Where your neighbors wait on you and your whole family.

Friday early evening and you really do not want to cook but you decided spontaneously to go out and had no reservations? (Which in a busy place like Ronaoke means 1-2h waiting time for a table...). No worries - Babe’s got you covered. Here is how it works: drive up and park right in front. Walk in (past plenty of hopefuls waiting for tables). Order chicken dinners. Now either walk back out go across the street have one of the best Margaritas Texas has to offer come back pick up food or just wait (7 min average, these guys are speedy!). Drive home. Enjoy! Packed so great no spill. Tastes so good you want to cry (pleasure cry - be honest when did that last (or ever?) happen to you). Wow to make reservations next time although if you are honest eating that super delicious chicken in the privacy of your living room in comfy clothes and watching nice stuff on TV is just so much better. Never seen more happy and friendly staff nor more efficiency. Price very reasonable for quantity and especially quality. The corn is mouth watering. The mashed potatoes are a sin. I loved the salad (and I am no salad eater!). Don’t miss out!

If you are looking for a soft drink or candy from your past, check this place out. They also have new "boutique" soft drinks and new candy. Ice cream is also served. My only complaint is, after having been in several times, the staff is young and unsupervised and at times can seem like they are irritated that you are asking them to ring you up so you can pay.

We live in Justin and this place is always packed out, its good food, good service, and the outdoor patio isn't bad to just sit outside and enjoy the company. I wish it was bigger but that small little place the locals enjoy off the map is also a great way to be too.

407 Bbq

Reviewed By MarkMM55 - Denton, Texas

My first visit to 407 BBQ and it certainly will not be my last! Had the two-meat plate with brisket and ribs. The brisket was moist, smokey and had nice bark. No sauce necessary! Thankfully, the sauce is served on the side...and actually I was not thrilled with it. Good news...not at all needed for either the ribs or brisket. Yes, sauce was rib sauce I believe, but ribs were meaty, smokey and had a nice rub. So, sauce not necessary.

My two sides were slaw (very nice) and green beans (very well seasoned and yummy).

Ice tea to drink. My suggestion is they place some tea refill containers in the dining area for diners to utilize. Currently you have to get back in line to ask for a tea refill which takes a good bit of unnecessary time in my opinion.

Small place, but does have inside seating.

I am ready to go back and try this place again...some very good BBQ!
