Jabbeke (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈjɑbeːkə]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Jabbeke proper, Snellegem, Stalhille, Varsenare and Zerkegem. On 1 January 2006 the municipality had 13,572 inhabitants. The total area is 53.76 km (20.76 sq mi), giving a population density of 252 inhabitants per km².

A classy and relaxed restaurant in a classic 19th-century house, facing the beautiful Koningin Astrid Park. Family owned since 1989. Old fashioned Belgian cuisine - light jazzy background music. Menu formula´s only. ( No " à la carte") Booking advised through restaurants´website. Bon appetit !

I was in Bruges with my father and partner for my birthday weekend. I booked a table for my birthday dinner on the Friday night.
We arrived at 7pm and were met by Axel and his wonderful team. We had a lovely corner table in the elegant dining room and were very well looked after,
The 4 course set menu with accompanying wines (or beers) is compulsory at weekends. There are 3 or 4 choices for each course - check out their website for the details.
We were first served a glass of pink sparkling wine and an amuse bouche of smoked salmon - delicious.
With each course we were served a glass of selected wine, although you could chose if you preferred red or white. I was served a chardonnay with my scallop starter and was a little perturbed, as I don't normally like chardonnay - at all! However, I was reassured by the server that the wine was delicious, and it was actually delicious!
I now know a chardonnay that I can drink (I made sure to note the name!)
Wine glasses were topped up as we ate, so we certainly got more than one glass per
course. The staff were lovely and very helpful, and Axel was charming - a very attentive host in the nicest way. He made sure everyone in the restaurant was well looked after. There were several people celebrating with a special meal.
As it was my birthday they served a little trio of tarts (one each) with a candle for me to blow out - a lovely touch.
The food and wine was all top quality, and the service impeccable. Next time we are in Bruges we will definitely be back.

Classical French oriented cuisine in a nice setting with very friendly staff. The Menu is varied and everybody will find something to their liking. If there is to be one drawback, it's that the restaurant can be quite loud when filled out (evenings and weekends).
I would definitely recommend De Kruidenmolen for a casual diner with friends.

Several times i went their for lunch. The food is good and you have a great choice to choose from. The owners are very friendly and helpfull. In summertime you can have a great time at the Terrace. The smoked salmon is very very good and is made at home by the chef.

After one hour, they needed the table of the kids for other clients, as agreed over the phone. The kids would be seperated in a seperate room so they could keep on playing. This seperate room was the smokers lounge with 4 elderly people and the lady owner/ cook heavenly smoking...?

Yesterday we were invited to a wedding reception in this venue. The weather was sunny so we were sitting and standing in the garden. The staff was so nice, nobody got forgotten when presenting the appetizers. We got plenty of sparkling wine. But those 'amuses' were absolutely delicious. I have been to many reception but this is unforgettable. Wonderfully dressed, so mouthwatering to see and like velvet on your tongue.

Situated within the Heritage hotel, this is a ridiculously romantic dining room. Period furnishings and chadeliers of the baroque period/style. Excellent service- discreet yet very attentive. The food was wonderful. High end French cooking but with an International reach in terms of ingredients and dishes available. Quality fresh ingredients presented extremely well on plate. Top end pricing but this is a quality and memorable dining experience.

Family lunch on a Wednesday.
Sure , probably not comparable with maybe busy weekend days in summertime with full b&b accomodation and full tables in restaurant, but my impression was fantastic.
In 'nomansland', relax sitting and tasting incredible good German wines ( yes, throw away that France only can make it), introduced by a passionate ladychef and fantastic (not overexceeded) food.
Love to go back for family, friends, organisation ( eg wine tasting)
