Bigelow's has been here forever, and is virtually unchanged !
The fried soft-bellied clams are KILLER, the best anywhere. The onion rings and fries are freshly made and perfect. Chowder is wonderful. Service is fast and super attentive with servers asking often if everything is to customer liking.
Not super cheap, but great seafood isn't. Good value can be had by ordering half portions or appetizers which are HUGE.
Ambience is lunch counter, but the seafood is Haut Cuisine.

My husband and I went t the Lido Deli for lunch. They have a large take-out counter and a separate seating area for dining. The portions are huge. The waiter brought us a large bowl of coleslaw and another of pickles. Food was good service not so much..

Jordan Lobster is a full service seafood restaurant with a retail store. We also have a clam bar and backyard bar which is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day weather permitting.
Disappointed by the Lady Owner. I visited Jordans with some friends recently for an early dinner. We were greeted by the Lady Owner who sat us in the window, as it was 4pm the sun was starting to set and as I sat down I realised the sun was shining directly into my eyes and we wouldn't be able to sit there. I suggested we moved tables because of this and the Lady Owner told me that this was the most coveted seat in the house and that we should not move (in a sarcastic and unpleasant tone), my companion suggested we lower blind which did the trick, the Lady Owner said to me that I shouldn't block out the sun because judging by my accent (British) I obviously didn't get much of it. I live in Massachusetts by the way if you're reading this. The whole encounter was really unpleasant and unnecessary.
That aside the waitress that subsequently took care of us was really lovely and the lobster was good. As I was visiting family I was hoping to make this a regular spot for us, but given the nastiness of the Lady Owner, I think this is unlikely to happen.
Because of the my experience I would not recommend you visit Jordans, unless you like your seafood with a side order of shade.

We always pop in here for bread during the week. At Christmas it's imperative to get their honeyballs and other fine pastries for Christmas Eve dinner at our house.

We always bring cakes and pastries from Whistle Stop to every party we are invited to. It's the only gourmet bake shop I would consider patronizing in Nassau County. Their prices are always good, the service is always fantastic and their food is the best.

Gran Paradiso is a casual Italian restaurant serving great traditional and inventive Italian cuisine. Our fresh pastas are house-made and we offer gluten-free and whole wheat options. Stop by for lunch, dinner, happy hour or for one of our daily deals. Our General Manager, Bernardo Collado and our Executive Chef Benny Collado look forward to welcoming you.
Had our second visit, this time with friends. Food and service were wonderful. both times. Management came to our table twice to check on the meal. This is neighborhood, casual high end Italian. If you are on the south shore or visiting Long Beach, do yourself a favor and go

Perfect place for a relaxing but quick bite during shopping trip to eclectic stores. Already familiar with menu from Williston Park venue and not disappointed here. Glass of wine or beer available . Cash only but reasonable prices make it easy. Great choice of fish or meat or veggie crepes with salad on side.

Peter's Clam Bar & Seafood Restaurant is Long Island's oldest Clam Bar. Everything is made from scratch and uses only the finest ingredients and freshest seafood available. We invite you to join us for another great summer!
We went here as a family group and sat inside (the restaurant, which is separate and more upscale than the snack bar part) next to the window. Fried calamari, clams and oysters were all good, but especially the clams. Also good was the NE clam chowder and lobster bisque was fantastic. Fish and chips and salmon sandwich were decent. Broiled scallops and lobster asparagus salad were excellent.
Prices a tad high (entrees from $14 for a sandwich to $25 for salmon entree) but quality is there.
Don't recall service either way so it couldn't have been bad.
Go early-parking here can get crazy on a summer weekend-you have to park along the busy road.

Cute decor, great service.
Cuisine...very good but not as stupendous as a three week waiting list would lead one to believe.
Not a fan of the family style serving tables and the solo tables are way too close together.
Terrible acoustics.
Will try again another time.
