Wandering in at 2.45 for lunch we would have of course forgiven the staff if they told us to get lost! But no, a very pleasant young lady said 'No problem' (even tho the kitchen was closing at 3pm) . The specials were mouth watering and confirmed by having one: Whiskey cured salmon fillet, with mash & dill sauce. (see photo) . It was delicious and the best lunch I've had out in absolute ages... Thank you Cafe Merlot, once again! A great cosy and 'characterful' place to eat and we could have sat on a lot longer but wanted to let the staff get on with their duties. Another pleasant young lady at the Till. Until the next time, Cafe Merlot! Thank you very much.

Had dinner here Sunday evening. Dylan was the friendliest most efficient young man, very well mannered, polite and very attentive without being intrusive. He explained the dishes exceptionally well. There was another young girl called Lou, also very friendly.
The food was exceptional, well presented and amazing flavours and skilled cooking.
It was our anniversary so it was a lovely touch when we were presented with chocolates on a plate with happy anniversary written in chocolate on the plate. Very nice.

Food was lovely, but I wish there was a proper menu rather than stand Reading a cluttered blackboard with 4 or 5 pairs of eyes staring. No WiFi either. It was suggested I sit nearer the window and try and pick up the public service. I just ate up and left. Can’t take away from how good the food was though.

Very limited Internet access in the bedrooms. None at all actually.
They had a radio channel on in the restaurant. The need to put a cd on. It doesn't give any nice atmosphere listening to a talk show....

Molly's Bar & Parlour Restaurant

Molly’s Bar & Parlour Restaurant is located in the heart of Irvinestown. Whilst the exterior of Molly’s Bar & Parlour Restaurant is quite modern and inviting, upon entering you are immediately struck by its’ olde-world charm which is authentically created by the low ceiling beams, wooden floors and traditional fireplace. Hearty pub food, late opening hours, live music, an excellent restaurant for a congenial evening, with something to offer for everyone!

We came to Irvinestown for a family trip and ate here every night, we were here Friday-through-to-Sunday night.
Friday night there was 9 of us, nice big table and the food/service was so good that we came back the next night only this time with more people. Saturday night, 12 of us, the same area of the Restaurant but split over two tables.
The food both nights was that good and the local friendly feel meant, that on Sunday when the other people in the group went for a late-lunch-come-early-tea out of town and us four didn't want to eat at that time. There was only one place to wander into town for... Molly's... again!
The service was so nice too, I mean, effortlessly kind. We got friendly with what seemed the Manager/Landlord (who was hilarious) and this lovely young girl who supports LFC (Like me).
I'd recommend....... oh actually, forgot to mention, we popped in for a Coffee on Sunday too, a few hours before we ate. But seriously, we wouldn't come back every night if we really didn't want to.

Woodhill Hunting Lodge

Reviewed By Lizdrum - Northern Ireland

Havent been for bout 5yrs. Called in on Wednesday 13th September. Was quite empty. However we ordered our food. Breaded mushrooms with garlic mayonnaise and a side salad. A beautiful plate of food. We felt the need for a traditional dinner so opted for the Roast Turkey ham and stuffing, set on a bed of mash (u dont have to have to take the mash) roast potatoes, cabbage and carrot and parsnip mash. Lovely waitress brought it to us and said will bring chips as included. We declined as could not have eaten any more! Actually brought an extra gravy float without asking. Hubby was delighted. O my this food was absolutely gorgeous. When u order roast beef or Turkey and ham it is usually a bit bland. Not in the Hunting Lodge! Cant wait to go back when next down at caravan. 100%
