Loved the environment, service, and food here! Very friendly staff, and cute patio in the back. Highly recommend the spinach ravioli with pesto sauce, and the especial garlic bread with cheese! The salad also came heaped with tasty avocado. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were generous. Wifi works great, too! :)

La Casa de Bamboo is a family run cafe, serving great coffee, the only place with an expresso machine, serving export quality peruvian coffee. All our food is home made vegetarian and vegan, and ranges from crepes, to thai curry, and home made brownies with ice cream.

6 of us came for lunch after walking around the Huacachina tourist trap. Service was good. Food was good too.

So this is not only a restaurant, but also a kind of hostel. The dorms are just off the main dining room, the bathroom and showers are shared with the restaurant guests.
Guests get a few percent off the food, which is nice, although it is still a little overpriced for my taste.
Not great, but acceptable and one of the cheaper accomodations. No one spends more than 1 or 2 nights tops in the oasis anyways.

This restaurant is charming, has great friendly staff and fresh, reasonable priced food.
We found it to be the best restaurant in Haucachina and after discovering it did not bother going any where else.
The location is one of the last restaurants around the oasis on the left.
The staff do not speak much English but were warm, happy and patient/helpful with our lack of Spanish which is hard to find in south america.
We ate the Palta a la reyna which was a fresh salad with vegetables, advocado and chicken pieces, Ceviche mixo and Ceviche de pescado which were big portions served with onions, corn and roasted kennel corn (which is traditionally served with Ceviche).
The Chicha morada is one of the best we have tried in Peru with apple pieces and is good served at room temperature 'tempo'.
The restaurant was busy, I am surprised not many reviews have been done yet.
We recommend everyone to this restaurant if they are going to Haucachina and if your on a budget you can share a meal.
The other restaurants around the oasis are pushy and strand along the walk way pushing you into their restaurant, but the quality and price are bad.

Went for lunch (not open for dinner unless group makes special reservation). We loved the presentation of the plates and agreed that food quality matched the presentation. The bright airy open dining room connected to patio was comfortable and social but not cramped. Service was good. Not far from the plaza de armas. Not far from much as taxis are very cheap in ica. Big beers were cheap and food was reasonably priced for the amounts and quality. We had a few beers, the parihuela, cebiche, the pescado soy Peru, a sudado, and a lemonade for approximately 120 soles. We did see a big non fish / seafood plate of pasta lomo huancaina for non seafood lovers. Big chunks of beef.

We are vegetarian and had a difficult time finding obvious options in Ica. After you get past all of the fruit juice options (seriously, 3 pages) and chicken options on Mango's breakfast menu you will find 'Copa de fruta'--a heaping vase of yogurt (strawberry or vanilla) with fruta (all melon, so no risk of water contamination) and granola.
The coffee drinks are also amazing.

We had dinner here twice during a recent stay in Ica. The staff were friendly and explained the dishes very well to us.
The food was very fresh and tasty and good value for money. The only negative point was that the chips included in my husband's dish on the last night were cold.
They offered to heat them up afterwards but by that stage he didn't really want them.

The place is certainly located in one of the better areas of town and the prices are equal to those in comparable restaurants in Lima (or the not NYC US, non-London city center UK or Germany apart from Munich). The pizza, however, is purely average to me. Needed to put a lot of oregano and chilly powder onto it to make it taste like something. Service in Peru is generally not world class and this place is no exception to the rule.

Diner style restaurant which specializes in cakes (they looked good!) but also has an extensive lunch/dinner menu with options to please everyone. We ate the brochetas de pollo which had a yummy spicy sauce and came with a big salad (you could choose between salad, potatoes or rice); as well as the ají de gallina (chicken in a yummy sauce) which was beautifully cooked; and a palta rellena (avocado stuffed with veggies). All the food was excellent, and very cheap - the three dishes plus a 500mL Coke Zero came to only 47 soles. Friendly service. Good safe bet amongst the slim pickings in Ica.

A group of friends and I were in Ica for work and ended up at Forja because of its reviews here on Trip Advisor. We were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed trying a new restaurant in the city. Between the group of 6 people, we ordered a few different appetizers and main dishes to share, plus drinks (many of which were creations of the restaurant). The food and experience was so enjoyable that we returned the following night as a group of 15 people. The service was great and the food delicious. Forja will definitely be on our list for future trips to Ica.
