the food is very good: the garlic soup (presented inside a piece of bread) is great; their seasonal asparagus with holandaise sauce were great, meat was good and their young chicken (mistkratzerli) is excellent in the different recipes (altough i would recomen the hanegg mistkratzerli, that brings three different sauces). besides, the desserts are very good, specially the coupe tiramisu
out of swiss standard lunch and dinner times, they offer a short list than can be helpfull when arriving a bit late for lunch
the wine list is short and expensive
pity that the prices are actually very expensive for most of the specialities, reaching an average of 60 / 75 francs per person (without wine) which is rather on the high side for this sort of cuisne / place

As it says in the title. I wouldn't bother with this arrogant place again. It is horribly overpriced especially if you order wine.

Sihlhalde is located in the beautiful countryside of Gattikon. The restaurant itself is romantic and rural with a small farm which belongs to the restaurant. The service is attentive and competent. We all went for the tasting menu. The homemade Brasato ravioli were definitely one of the highlights of the meal. Also the seabass was excellent. They have a nice selection of strong goat and sheep cheeses which I found amazing.

We booked this restaurant for a birthday celebration. Even though it was very busy for dinner on 17th February , the service staff attend to our every little details efficiently. Food was served fast , deliciously prepared to our expectation. We enjoyed our time dining here for this auspicious occasion . It is worth the time and great value for money spent here at Restorante La Fontana in Horgen !!!

Went there today with a local who recommended this place. Lots of food options, big portions and very tasty. Servers were very friendly. It was asparagus season and there were a lot of dishes available. Nothing superfancy, but good and tasty quality. Would definately go back!

We had a dinner in this nice restaurant, altough the decoration is a little bit old
We seat on the closet terrasse with nice view of the lake.
The service was friendly and professional and all dishes explanations were in English.
The chiken massala and tandouri meet were tasty
I must mention that I received my bier in broken glass...

We came here as a group of around 20 people. The pumpkin soup starter was tasty, the trout itself was not bad, but served without sauce. Also the potatoes were undercooked. On the top of everything the dessert, a caramel cream had a weird texture. Location top - food flop!

Staying around Zurich for Iron Man Switzerland and wanting a meal for our two families we e-mailed the restaurant with the help of goggle translation. An immediate response was in english without the help of goggle, cheerful and friendly and yes there would be a table for that night. When we arrived we were given a really friendly and warm welcome with our table ready. Menus were supplied in English and drinks orders taken swiftly. The menu was explained and horse was off (not that any of us shed a tear for that)
We ordered and the food was soon brought by our pleasant hostess -warm and excellent. ( The food that is) We had to try the local fish (delicious) and snitzells served with a choice of fries, pasta or salad. Dessert was offered and ice cream and hot berries was the favourite with proper hot berries and delicious ice cream.
Altogether a very good experience, shame we are going back to UK tomorrow.
