Founded by Dutch Calvinists in 1847, the city of Holland, Michigan, is an outpost of Dutch culture and tradition in the midst of the American Midwest, home to dikes, canals and even an authentic Dutch windmill. Proud of its heritage, the city purchased 100,000 tulip bulbs from the Netherlands back in 1927, and these colorful flowers still fill the city's gardens and parks with color annually, just in time for the famous Tulip Time Festival, attended by over half a million people every year.

The best breads, buns and pastries around. They will take special orders in advance. The variety of fresh breads...yummmmmmmm! Pigs, pastries, cookies, oh my where do you stop??!??! Coffee is fresh and a great place to stop on your way to work. Yes, at 7am they have a respectable breakfast crowd on weekdays. No they don't bake cakes---there are shops for that. They are growing and will have a 2nd location soon.

Love it every time we eat at the Biscuit. Friendly place, great food! Not too loud, but you might have to wait for a table. The wait is worth it.

Casual upscale Grill and Pub located between Holland and Zeeland. Locally owned S&P has a an adventurous American pub style menu. Fresh certified Angus steaks and steakburgers to Seared Ahi Tuna to Idaho Nachos (waffle fries loaded with cheese and bacon). S&P is a comfortable place that always has lots of laughter. Our Happy hour is great featuring 24 taps of craft and import beers, wines, and cocktails from 2 to 5:30 pm daily. We want you to enjoy yourself at S&P. We have been to Holland many times, and this time was the first we have heard of this restaurant. It is about 7 minutes from downtown Holland, It was a great place to eat. Food was delicious. I had prime rib which was the special and it was delicious and very well priced. My husband had steak which was very good. They have plenty of seating in different rooms and also outdoor seating. I would definitely return next time i am in Holland.

Our meals were pretty diner-typical, although this got nudged up to four stars by two factors: first, they had gluten free bread for my gluten free sister-in-law and second, the service was great; friendly and on the ball with things like drink refills and extra napkins before we even asked for them. (Minus a bit for having high chairs but bathrooms so small there was no room for a changing table.)

This is not a "franchise-chain" steak house. There is a large menu and dinners include two sides. Lots of choices!! Our server was great, food was fine and the birthday discount was a plus. The discount is equal to your age as long as you purchase another dinner. Even at 5:30 they were very busy so we were glad we had made a reservation. It can get noisy, so seating at one of the booths is better for conversations.

We ordered a large Supreme Chicago Deep Dish pizza, and it was so good (and huge!) that we ate it for our dinner, and breakfast, and lunch the next day. Yum! And to make it even better, they deliver - even to our campsite.

It was a busy Labour day weekend and every restaurant seemed to be fully booked with waits of over an hour. We were four adults and a very tired baby and after driving for nearly an hour around Saugatuck and Holland searching for availaiblity we just needed a place to settle. We came in from the rain looking a bit bedraggled and the friendly staff took us in and made us feel at home, depsite pretty much being booked out at the time. Food was simple, tasty and adequate, the wait times for service and food arrival weren't too long despite how busy it was. Really family-friendly, warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Recommended.

Went there for a couple of beer. The New Holland Brewing Pub on 8th has a great selection of craft beer. I tried several different kinds of their beer - my favorites are Dragon milk and The lost dune. I will go there again when back in Holland.
