I must say I didn't know what to expect of Braveheart. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit though. Jess was our server and she was absolutely fabulous. She answered all of our questions and give us suggestions also. It's very refreshing to see someone enjoy her job. We started off with cocktails and the key lime martini was great. We also had the Creamsicle martini which was very good too. This was the last day of restaurant week so there were three course specials for only $15 which was a great deal. Shepherds pie the fish and chips the Bridie Meals were all excellent.
There is also an extensive beer list which made my husband very happy too. Very wonderful night, very good experience definitely check out Braveheart.

This is the epitome of fine chocolate and pastries. Their quality is very high. But be prepared to pay a little more for the superior quality. If you want something very special or you want to really impress someone, this is the place to get a little gift of sweet love for them.

Bolete Restaurant and Inn

Reviewed By MacungieJohn - Macungie, Pennsylvania

I have been wanting to visit Bolete for a few years. My wife is not a fan of French food, so never top of the list on date night. Finally convinced to her to come along. We arrived just a few minutes early, and decided to wait on a better table. The place is very quaint, and full of character. Not very big, but tables are spaced such they don’t feel cramped. Started with drinks in the bar. They were good, although could have been colder. The wait staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, and were more than accommodating for my wife’s selective taste. I started with Foie Gras, which was not listed, but Chef still had a piece available. My wife started with chips from the bar. Both were very good. The Foie gras was gilled, and served with a bed of greens and polenta, the combination was excellent. My wife chips were also very good. For main course, my wife ordered ribeye steak and I ordered wild bass. The bass was exceptional, and served over a bed of squash, mushrooms and bacon. The flavor of the sauce was amazing. My wife’s steak was cooked perfectly, and server with mashed potatoes. The steak was good, not great. For a ribeye, did not have as much taste, and was a little tough. The potatoes were very good. The biggest disappointment was the wine. The wine list is very limited, and the nicer bottle we ordered was just average. I did find out later can bring your own, although with a $25 corking fee. That seems a little high. For dessert, had the chocolate mousse tart and two coffees. The dessert was very good, although the coffee was a little weak. I also ask myself, would I recommend and would I go back. The answer is yes to both. The rating of 4 vs 5, is that it was not the perfect meal for the reasons I list above, but that doesn’t take away from the fine food being served.

Cafe Erica

Reviewed By Jeff J - Quakertown, Pennsylvania

Now, I don't own a cafe, but if I did, I wouldn't manage it from an arm chair. Apparently, that is the style at Erica's. Now, don't get me wrong. Everyone in there was gracious and helpful. But, I kid you not; the owner was sitting in a lounge chair in the cafe dining area. Again, I'm not sure I have an issue with this but it certainly made the tabloids, if you will. My family and I rode the Saucon Rail Trail from DeSales University to Hellertown, PA. Erica's is but a pedal stroke or two off the Trail. The ice cream was good and well portioned for my two girls. My wife got a Tartufo (tahr-too-foh), "an Italian ice-cream dessert originating from Pizzo, Calabria" (Source: Wikipedia). It was, actually, pretty good. The chocolate was really tasty. I would call it an upscale Dilly Bar, if you are familiar with the DQ delicacy. Anyway, good place for a mid-ride break or even a Friday night shuffle along Front St.

We enjoy good middle eastern food and Lemon Kebap house prepares tasty, fresh and well crafted Turkish delights. We truly enjoyed the falafel appetizer and my wife had the spinach pie, which she said was excellent. I had the Lamb Kebap, which was made from lean, perfectly cooked lamb, along with grilled vegetables and a delicious salad with lightly pickled cabbage, carrots, lettuce and tomatoes. We cannot wait to come back, the food was that god.

Apollo Grill

This restaurant is consistently high quality. We have been going here for years— mostly for date nights or special occasions. Our most recent visits were a Saturday brunch in October and a full dinner visit in February. I think Carrie was our server both times. For brunch, I had soup and a shrimp small plate... both were excellent. For dinner, I had my go-to appetizer, which is the lobster ravioli in a sweet and spicy sauce (there is nothing like it), and the duck entree. Everything was good about the entree: the meat, the green beans and the mushroom risotto. Desserts were delicious! I’m looking forward to our next visit.

Inventive and delicious breakfast menu. Traditional standbys are available, but we couldn’t resist unusual items such as the seasonal quiche and the Full Monte breakfast sandwich on ciabatta roll. Portions are generous, and coffee cup is bottomless. The staff is friendly and the place is small and bustling. We arrived early enough to secure a table, but the remaining tables and counter seats quickly filled up. Parking is on the street, but we had no difficulty. Definitely worth a visit.

Not just bagels... this deli has a variety of delicious Boar's Head meat sandwiches, egg sandwiches, wraps, and healthy grain salads. The owners are perfect hosts and try to bend over backwards to make sure your food is just the way you like it. A good take out deli but also has several tables inside and out to sit and eat.

The draw here is their $15 filet which my wife ordered. I would pass. Order something else. You can get a filet anywhere and the quality wasn't great. That is the only negative thing i found with the restaurant. The atmosphere is great, the wait staff was friendly, and the food was fresh. The menu is small but diverse. I ordered a brisket burger and it was unbelievable. One of the best burgers I've ever had. The fries and deserts were also great. Price for 2 was about $45.
