Hamme (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦɑmə]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Hamme proper, Kastel Moerzeke, St-Anna and Zogge. On March 18, 2010, Hamme had a total population of 24,026. The total area is 40.21 km² which gives a population density of 578 inhabitants per km². The current mayor of Hamme is Herman Vijt, from the CD&V (Christian Democratic) party.

If you like good Fish, this is the place to be and good portions(is also important). Very nice view at the Schelde. Their speciality is "Paling in't Groen". Love to go there back, it's splendid!

We have celebrating my father's 86th birthday there and everything was very good (the aperitif, the starter, the main dish the desert, the drinks, The atmosphere was good and my father was very happy.

Dined here last night with friends, the food was incredible, the detail to presentation was a visual delight and the marrying of different ingredients was a taste sensation. The attentive staff & explanation of each course was excellent. Can highly recommend this restaurant.

François is for me the reference in the way you enjoy ice cream.
Not only is the ice cream excellent, but the choices you are offered guaranteed discovery and adventure for many enjoyable hours.
The location is beautiful, the service excellent and the price more than fair!

Kleinschalig Italiaans restaurant zonder pretenties. Het interieur is een beetje verouderd en maar geeft ook duidelijk aan wat je mag verwachten. Dit is simpele, Italiaanse kost met eenvoudige maar goede ingrediënten. Eerst en vooral een pluim voor de ober. Deze deed de hele zaak alleen en dit op een snelle en vriendelijke manier, aangevuld met Italiaanse charme!
De aperitieven zijn klassiek en prijselijk en je krijgt er heerlijke olijven bij. Als voorgerecht namen we een pizza om te delen. Deze was zeer lekker en werd reeds op 2 aparte borden geserveerd. Als hoofdgerecht een lekkere pasta gegeten (enige minpuntje de pasta die niet helemaal al dente was). Portie meer dan voldoende groot. Als dessert beiden een tiramisu en espresso. Deze was heerlijk en héél groot. Bij het afrekenen kregen we nog een amaretto aangeboden van het huis. In totaal waren we hier met z'n tweetjes 82 euro kwijt (water en halve liter wijn inbegrepen). Voorlopig weet ik niet direct een ander restaurantje waar je voor zo weinig geld zo lekker kan eten. Een aanrader. Wij komen zeker nog terug.
Tip: in het weekend zeker reserveren, want het kan er druk zijn!

Het pand oogt zeer mooi, spijtig dat de verwarming niet optimaal is, zeker als er weinig volk is maar het is dan ook een oud huis.
Wat ontvangst betreft kan je niet beter treffen, charmant en professioneel.
De tapa's zijn lekker, porties voldoende en de wijnen zijn van goede kwaliteit.
Kortom een goed adres en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

The owner used to run the local disco back in the days, called RIO. He revamped the whole venue and turned it into a perfect and cosy pub. The main attraction, apart from the legendary owner himself, is the spaghetti. I've been told that every single ingredient is hand picked by the owner on the very same day he makes his famous sauce. You haven't visited Hamme if you haven't been to Rio - Ruimte in Ontwikkeling!
The place is perfect for kids, as toys, board games and books are available.

Went over to have dinner with family following recommendation local friend and was more than pleasantly surprised of how great everything was. Although at first the menu seems limited, it's actually very well balanced. I would like to compliment the wine list. Again the prices may seem on the high side but actually for what's on offer comparing the same wines from other wine lists in other parts of Europe they are actually very reasonable.
