I have been going to this Rancherito location near the MDE airport for at least 10 years. I love everything about this place -- service, atmosphere, food, people, menu, willingness to change items to accommodate requests, etc.
If you stay at the Movich hotel near the MDE airport, then take the short walk to Racherito, you won't be disappointed.
Róbalo (Snook) a la plancha (grilled) or sautéed with garlic and onions is one of my favorite dishes. I also love to order BAKED plantains. Normally the plantains are fried, but at Rancherito they'll bake them for you if you ask. Add guacamole and hogao (warm, mild salsa) for a great appetizer.

Small but friendly Italian restaurant with great food and superb service. The onwe is taking care of business and makes you feel at home. Portobello with blue cheese was very good!!!

Based on the concept of meal sharing, the restaurant allows its clients to try different preparations, its plates, served at the center of the table, are elaborated with excellent quality products: freshly caught fish from the Pacific Ocean; spices from Colombia and Asia; herbs, flowers and organic ingredients, etc. Long cooking times are one of the specialties of the house such as short ribs -12 hours braised- in lemon and chili caramel sauce and pork shank glazed in balsamic and orange with creamy mash potato.
This is a trendy restaurant with good food and excellent staff. Located in an area frequented by "foreigners" - menu therefore designed for the traveller/ tourist palette but also popular with local people.
Some delightful meals for vegetarians and our Columbian friend had beef which he thoroughly enjoyed. Good menu selection makes it possible to spend little or loads but it's all good.
Highly professional servers, we didn't book ahead so waited 30 minutes having drinks at the bar before a table became available.
Recommend this restaurant highly.

Argentinian Steak House
Amazing Argentinian steakhouse with quite an extensive menu.
I ordered the beef tenderloin and was surprised at how big of a serving size it was. My partner ordered the T-Bone and also loved it. Cooked perfectly, I have nothing to complain about here.
Service was great as well - Shout out to Ryan our server who helped make the dining experience great.
Food came out quickly which was quite a surprise considering I noticed that most Colombian restaurants take very long in terms of delivering food.
Moderately priced for steak (I'd pay probably double or triple back in North America for what we got) so if you love steak give it a shot!

Mi Gallo Tuerto is part of a complex on the Motorway from Medellin to Barbosa, alongside a Petrol Station and a couple of shops, you think it is just another roadside Cafe, until you enter... The place is huge, with different areas, fast food, snacks, Bar, and sit down Restaurant, swimming pool, and Childrens play area.
The Restaurant has an varied menu, the food quality is excellent, and there is plenty of it, the service is friendly and fast, but there is no suggestion that they want you to eat up and leave.
You only have to visit on a week-end or Fiesta to know you should have booked beforehand, the opening hours do vary slightly, but it opens at 7am and closes between 11.30pm and 1am depending on the day.
This Restaurant, is family friendly, and yet at the same time is ideal for couples wanting an intimate meal.
Well worth a visit, and we have already made a return trip.

Inviting you to Malevo restaurant is not just an invitation. It means invite you to our home which is far away from Argentina. Each dish and every song played makes me remind me about my grandmother 's cooking, my family's recipes, the mud oven and its secrets. Vanished into the time, the barbecue and its folklore, The porteña diner and the flavor of our history. We are willing to share with you all of these features and additionally, a combination of sorrow and happiness present in the fire which lights our hearts and open our doors.
The positives:
- Quaint, homely setting.
- Reasonably priced cuts in comparison to Europe, but a shame about the quality.
The negatives:
- Terribly slow service. We arrived before 9pm; it was midweek and the restaurant was not especially busy. We didn’t receive our food until gone 10pm, and then the order was wrong.
- We chose imported cuts on the advice of the waiter and our expectations were fairly high. The short rib was tasty but very little meat on it. On the other hand, the rump was huge, but lacked flavour. Perhaps the cheaper local cuts would have been better value, but our choices certainly didn’t live up to expectations and were not a patch on some steaks we’ve had back home.

The best Sushi, Ramen and Teppanyaki in town!! The traditional japanese food and great restaurant.
I read the reviews on trip advisor and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed.
The service was excellent, the restaurant has a very nice ambiance and the food was very good. I had a basic dish of chicken and beef with rice. I went with two friends their food looked very good and they said it was good.
I would certainly go back and try something different to give a better description of the food quality but for what I got, I liked.

Full disclosure - I'm not historically a fan of either small plate or fixed menu places and this had both BUT I left with a new attitude. The whole experience was wonderful and we left satisfied but not stuffed. We arrived at their normal 7pm opening time and were told (politely!) that they were opening late today because they were debuting a new menu and would be training the staff etc. We went somewhere for a drink and then returned at 8. We sat outside on a wonderful courtyard patio with a view in the kitchen window. Each course (of 10 or so) was delivered and explained simply but carefully - all were predominately native Colombian ingredients served in interesting ways. Our bill was on the high end, cost-wise, by Medellin standards (although not at all by US standards), but part of that was because we were enjoying the evening so much we had two bottles of wine. Regardless, it was WELL worth it! Service was EXTREMELY good.
