Provino's is what other Italian restaurants should strive to be. This place was delicious! The delicious wine, salad, rolls drowning in garlic butter, and wonderful entrees at Provino's are hard to beat. Not to mention the scrumptious cannoli we ordered to go! Our server from that night, (I think his name was Kahlil), deserves a raise. He made sure our dining needs were met, our glasses stayed full, and made us feel very welcome. This was a special occasion, as we were in town visiting family for Christmas. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area. Yum!

The owners hail from New York, and they instill the secrets of New York diners into the menu. This is one of the few restaurants in Lawrenceville with authentic home fries. Local potatoes are seasoned and dotted with sauteed vegetables, and served as a hefty side to the popular corned beef hash platter. You'll find belly-filling, homemade portions similar to what you would tuck into at your grandmother's house. Been here several times for breakfast and lunch and enjoyed every time. Everything is fresh and well prepared. Coffee is flavorful and plentiful. Hash and eggs, one of my favorites. is consistently delicious. The homefries are great and remind me of New England.

A friend of mine invited me to lunch. When I met her at Athenas Gyro, my first thought was "oh my goodness, this place looks bad." We ordered our plates at the counter and had a seat. The staff brought out our lunch and all I had to say was "Wow!" The salad was even awesome. The gyro was the best I have ever had. The souvlaki is to die for! Don't let the location fool you. You will not be disappointed.

On a recent visit to Lawrenceville square, my friend and I decided to get a cupcake at Special Kneads and Treats. We did not know how special the place was and their mission. The cupcakes were delicious and the popcorn was addictive. A worthy place to visit and enjoy enjoy a treat.

The Grayson Coffee House has become my new favorite "away office". I've visited a number of times and always receive quick, friendly service, usually from one of the owners. The chai latte is fantastic and I've loved the different coffeecakes I've tried. I can always find a table to work for a few hours. You can tell by the way customers greet one another and the owners that the shop has a string of regulars. Overall I've found the shop to be as enjoyable as those who have won TA awards. I highly recommend you visit if you are in the area.

Sam's is a real find for the neighborhood! Great food. The staff is very friendly. Sam came over to our table and cheerfully introduced himself. I had fried green tomatoes- so good, and a great salad. My husband LOVED his Wisconsin Blue burger. They're moving to a larger location down the street soon- I like the coziness of the current space and hope the new place will have the same vibe!

I occasionally stop here as an impromptu "Date night" surprise after dinner, and occasionally with my partner "Just because". It's a yummy, and when impromptu, it can even be a lightly romantic thing.
They are always friendly, move swiftly and serve up a tasty treat that doesn't skimp on serving size nor quality ingredients. Not a lot else to say other than YUM!
