We were prepared for the cold far north Canadian powder highway to have many bar food options, but we had not expected Aspen quality cuisine. We were so wrong. This spot had delicious and varied menu options, was so crowded that without Reservations we had to sit at the bar, and turned out to be a delightful evening all the way around. Not too expensive for the quality of the experience.

When we stayed in Golden we had dinner in The Golden Taps twice. This place sells the best burger I've ever had. Perfectly cooked with delecious fries or yams. Highly recommend it if you are in the neighbourhood.

We are a family owned business that offers pizza, pasta, steaks and burgers, etc. We have a separate kids menu, gluten free options and vegan dishes are available, and also offer take out and Delivery within the town of Golden. Patio Seating in the summer or enjoy the warm fireplace in the winter. We welcome large groups. We also have plenty of space for parking

We stopped off in Golden on the way through to Revelstoke. We stumbled across this place by chance and were initially hesitant because there was nobody inside (it was 3pm). Very pleasantly surprised! Great menu, recommend the local elk burger which was one of the best burgers we have had in a while. Juicy and flavoursome! Definitely give this place a go.

After a long day on kicking horse mountain we stopped here for supper. It was the best meal we had the whole trip. Our 8 year old loved his pulled pork Sandwich and my husband and I both had the beef brisket. I could've just eaten ALL of the corn bread. IT WAS SO TASTY!!

We visited this shop to look at books, but after climbing the stairs to the upstairs section, where the cafe is, we decided we wouldn't have eaten here even if we had planned to. The book selection was OK, though not up to the standards of a number of other used book stores we've visited, but the odor upstairs was off-putting. I'm not even sure what it was, but it smelled like something had gone off and hadn't been thrown out.

We stumbled into this place when other higher-rated were full, and loved it so much we came back two nights in a row. Shockingly good salmon for a place that far from the coast, great lamb, great duck, charcuterie plate, etc. Essentially every single bite from every dish over two nights was excellent.

Out on a snowboard trip, we decided to extend our day and book dinner at the Eagle's Eye. Booked right for sunset, and spent some time outside the restaurant to snap a few pictures before getting in the restaurant to be seated. It was pretty much empty at this hour, and we were seated quickly. Ordered a couple of Montreal Ceasar that were super tasty, then the main course. Although we were full, we decided for desert as well since the food was so tasty. Service was #1, and getting down the mountain at night was a trip by itself. The food, service, and whole experience was well worth the money. A must if you are in Golden!
