Entre Terre & Mer Restaurant

It is a hotel restaurant which are sometimes a bit and miss affair. This was a hit affair. Nice service and reasonable prices and very tasty food. The place was a bit understaffed however our waiter was very attentive ,polite and obliging. A nice experience. The only downside was an attitude of one of the managers. We arrived at 6.45pm and asked could we eat. No sorry we open at 7pm but you can have a drink at the bar while you are waiting. So we headed to the bar to see a sign "your barman is away from the bar but will return shortly" Fine. The said manager who sent us to the bar arrives and ignores us and starts chatting to one of the staff and offers him a beer. Us the paying guest at the hotel are totally ignored. This lack of attention was duly noted. This guy should not be in a management position if this is his altitude

An invitation from a dear friend to come and visit Spa, brought us to Restaurant Le Grand Maur, table for three. Very nice setting, comfortable and private. Food was excellent (Moules, Langoustine and Maqueras followed by Pigeon and filet of Daurade) and so was the wine (Chablis 1er). But the dessert was a smasher, accompanied by a glass of Monbazillac.
Don't miss this restaurant when you're in the neigbourhood !

Relatively small but cozy restaurant with a nice menu including mussels.
Bonus is an "amuse bouche" served before a delicious meal. Different take on veal tonnato which was excellent as was the generous serving of tender flavoursome mussels. Very fresh warm bread a welcome addition.
No space for desert on this visit so will go back to complete the experience.

Stopped in for a late lunch while walking the Route des Fontains. The atmosphere was a bit fussy but the food was anything but. Beautifully presented and decent sized portions at quite reasonable prices. I loved my grilled shrimp salad topped with a citrus dressing but there were five other dressing choices as well. Service was friendly.

This restaurant looks quite unobtrusive on the outside and it's cosy and welcoming on the inside. We had dinner there and I loved it but my wife didn't particularly like her main course which she described as gluey. I can only think that it was a one off and I would definitely go back. The food was imaginative and the service was friendly and efficient. The bill was also very reasonable.

Had an amazing dinner last night celebrating an anniversary. Pairing great fresh seafood, a few great Burgundies and fresh white truffle directly imported from Tuscany San Miniato.
Presentation was more than perfect with great attention to detail and all is very very inventive.
My favourite place when in Spa Francorchamps
The pictures tells it all.

Le Bouchon Gourmand

Reviewed By Arrahant - Sliedrecht, The Netherlands

The restaurant is located next to the town of Spa, situated at a nice location near the Lac de Warfaaz. Although the waitress was very friendly, we had to wait quite long to receive the menu, place our order and receive our drinks and food. Getting the attention of the waitress also took long (at least 15-20 minutes), and when we wanted to ask the waitress about some of the dishes on the menu, she answered one question quickly and rushed away before we could ask another. Additionally and related to the above, it can be hard for non-French speaking persons to find out what to order, since the menu is in French and features mostly non standard dishes, and the service seemed to be French speaking only. Also, quite a lot of items featured on the menu could not be ordered since they were out of stock. Since the menu is presented on chalkboard I wondered, why not just wipe those items out?
That being said, the food itself was pretty good. Since we arrived late and noticed service was slow, we only went for main courses. I had a steak with mushroom sauce (entrecote) and my partner had duck in orange sauce. We both asked for fries with our dish, yet only received one portion. If we wanted more fries, the waitress told us, all we had to was ask. Which left me to wonder: didn't we both order fries?! Yet again, the waitress was gone again right away. My partner did have some Rösti placed on her plate, so perhaps that counted as her 'fries'.
Also, mind that you have to pay for everything separately. For example, when the waitress asked if I wanted sauce with the steak, I thought that would be included in the 26 euro price tag of the steak. Afterwards I found out I was charged 2 euro's extra for the sauce. The menu did not mention this.
Then it was time for the dessert. I order a local Chouffe coffee, and my partner ordered Creme Brulee. A couple of minutes later the waitress came back to tell us both were out of stock. So we then both ordered some kind of coffee icecream in a tall glass, which was good but not that special.
The above main dishes and desserts, together with two carafes of wine cost around 85 euro's. I found this quite expensive for what we got, although the food did taste nice. Together with the long waiting times I would think twice before visiting this restaurant again.

My husband and I spent Thursday to Monday in spa having been to the F1 and decided to eat here on our last night, the restaurant appeared very busy and popular. The menu was very minimal and so it made it easy to choose, I had the chicken which came with a mushroom sauce, chips and a bit of salad, I found the chicken to be over cooked. My husband had the schnitzel which also came with the mushroom sauce, chips and salad and he said he really enjoyed it, he even left some of the schnitzel as it was quite large. Rather reasonable for the price 2 main meals and 2 drinks €55
Nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere, just try and not get seated by the toilets. Service was a little slow but that was to be expected with a full house on a busy F1 weekend.

The food here is very nice but although there appears to be a lot of waitresses only a couple of the, work hard resulting in many tables having to wait very long times even to get a drink to start. It was race weekend but we did visit the steakhouse and the service there was much better. Again, really expensive pizza but if you want to eat and stay near the track you can't begrudge local businesses making a bit of money.
