Visited this pub with my cousin and her partner who live in Folkestone. They ude itcas a local. I can see why, landlord very amicable and food was excellent. Great menu. Open log fire. Great food and drink. What more can you ask for. Fabulous evening all round.

The Chambers is at first glance a street level Coffee Shop but by far the biggest surprise lies underground where The Chambers bar takes over! Either take in the great vista of watching Folkestone town life go on around you as you enjoy your freshly roasted & brewed coffee, or venture through the Coffee Shop downstairs to the vast area that is our bar. Featuring TWO bars and lots of Seating in large group areas or intimate nooks just for two, we offer lots for you to do & try. Our standard menu runs Mon to Sat & offers freshly made Mexican cuisine, whilst we also offer specials to present the best in local & seasonal dishes. We stock only Kentish Ales & Ciders & have featured in every CAMRA good Pub Guide since 2004, being regional pub of the year for 2008! Continental keg beers are very well represented too with Bitburger having a permanent place on the bar. Music is a BIG part of Chambers life & we have UK & international artistes EVERY Thurs night. Playing mostly blues, folk & acoustic originals, you'll NEVER be disappointed with the artistes playing at Chambers. Thurs night is a fine entertainment bet!! Our second visit to The Chambers was as good as the first. Bar staff very helpful, suggesting cider to suit my taste. Great range and variety of beers and cider. Hope to return again in the future!

Visiting Folkestone for the first time in a few months we went on the Friday night for a very sociable meal.
We enjoyed some mixed starters and then a variety of sole, cod, cannelloni and steak. Very nicely prepared with some excellent cauliflower cheese and spinach to augment it.
A very nice cheeseboard with some excellent wines made for a very pleasant evening with some excellent service.

First time we had tried Nepalese food. Was a lovely blend like a combination of indian and thai food. The staff were really helpful with recommendations. Don't be put off by the location as it is away from the seafront. Well worth seeking out.

My haddock and chips was good, but the waitress made this place; she was really friendly and made the visit a real pleasure. If you enjoy fish & chips, thus is a good place to eat- not posh, just basic, nice and friendly.

It has been 15 years since I last walked along Tontine Street and if like me you had done back then, you too might have stayed away for a considerable length of time. However I was in the area and a local advised me to take another look and to visit Beano's for the best Veggie and Vegan breakfast in town.
So I found myself pleasantly surprised at the art installations, galleries, creative spaces and new vibe along the street and did indeed visit aforementioned café for slap up brekkie. We were not disappointed, the welcome, atmosphere and food were top notch and the lady in charge told us that the café has been open for 6 years, at a time when the changes to the area were just starting, she assured me that this is continuing and there were clear indications of this. Best Veggie breakfast I have had in ages and treated to the Vegan Runners Club piling in following a blast round town. You simply must visit

A warm welcoming Mexican restaurant located in the heart of Folkestone. We cater for all age ranges. We are able to cater for larger parties however booking in advance is strongly advisable. We are able to cater for people with food allergies as long as we are notified in advance. Our food is freshly prepared and cooked in an open kitchen.

Myself and my husband were really looking forward to our Mexican meal at conchitas, we pre booked a few days earlier however on entrance, the staff questioned the booking before eventually finding us in the diary, we were then told we were in the cabin? We were let to an outer building (like a sauna box but very chilly)looking around everyone was served well and looked after by the staff, however it took an hour to get us through a starter and one drink before finally getting our main to us, the food was “ok” nothing special really, although good price... the cabin was cold too... also when we were bought the bill, there was no “mints” yet everyone else we had see have the bill had these??? Felt a little like the regulars were treated much better than the tourists... sorry wouldn’t visit again!

This was our third visit and it's been consistently good food and value for money. The mezze boards are good with generous portions so we have stuck to that so far. It is s bit cramped and the temperature is variable as it's draughty. Overall we worth a visit.

Thanks to all the staff for making my mother and her friends suprise birthday lunch easy to organise. They were helpful, kind and the food and decor amazing. Bonus can park for free in convenient car park. Good selection of food at reasonable prices.

Went there last Saturday with some friends who both enjoy eating and cooking Indian, Pakistani and Bengladesh food. It was their first time in Folkestone. I had mentioned this restaurant to them so we decided to eat there. We were all impressed by the freshness of flavours; it was excellent. The dishes we had were from Southern India and had a great Kerela flavour.
The service is friendly and efficient; the atmosphere is good and comfortable.
They didn't have pigeon breast but the red snapper was very good and the meat and sea food plater to share was generous.
This is my third visit and I will go again.
